PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT: ICT SKILLS

Instructions:
 Attempt all questions
 Create a folder on desktop, name it using your full name and inside the folder insert
3 folders respectively with the following names (your names, your registration
number, your class)
 After attempting all questions, you will save a compressed folder as saved using your
full names and submit it as instructed in Part III Question I of this questionnaire.
 Failure to these instructions will be sanctioned by subtracting 3 marks from Part I: MS
WORD.

1. Create a Microsoft office word document containing four pages and save it in the
created folder named MS WORD with file name MsWordExam. /2marks
2. Insert a header called RTTI (Name of your DSC), footer note called “TTICT102 ICT
SKILLS” and apply page bottom numbering. /3Marks

3. On the first page, rewrite the given text in MS word by applying the following

La France et l’Angleterre, deux nations européennes avec des histoires riches et influentes, partagent des
similarités tout en présentant des différences marquées.

Historiquement, les deux pays ont été des rivaux durant plusieurs siècles, notamment lors de la Guerre de
Cent Ans et les conflits napoléoniens. Cependant, malgré ces affrontements, ils ont également collaboré,
comme durant les deux guerres mondiales. Sur le plan politique, la France est une république, tandis que
l'Angleterre (au sein du Royaume-Uni) est une monarchie constitutionnelle. Le système français repose sur
un président fort, tandis qu’au Royaume-Uni, le Premier ministre détient l’essentiel du pouvoir, bien que la
monarchie y ait encore un rôle symbolique important.

Économiquement, les deux pays sont puissants mais adoptent des approches différentes. La France
privilégie un modèle de protection sociale développé avec des services publics forts, tandis que le Royaume-
Uni a opté pour une économie plus libérale, particulièrement après les réformes de Margaret Thatcher.

Sur le plan culturel, la France met l'accent sur la préservation de la langue et des arts, tandis que
l'Angleterre a une approche plus ouverte à l'influence extérieure, en partie due à son histoire coloniale. Les
deux nations sont également des centres touristiques majeurs, avec la France célèbre pour sa gastronomie et
ses monuments historiques, et l'Angleterre pour ses traditions royales et ses contributions littéraires.

Enfin, bien que tous deux membres fondateurs de nombreuses institutions européennes, la France reste un
acteur clé de l'Union européenne, tandis que le Royaume-Uni l’a quittée avec le Brexit, reflétant des visions
parfois divergentes sur l’Europe et la mondialisation.

include all animations, dynamic elements, and the current date and time on each slide:
a) Create a slide presentation of the text below with given title and sub-titles by applying
the font face: Adobe Fan Heiti, font size 18, line space: 18. Each slide should not

b) Create a new slide and Insert any interesting Image that can have a meaning of the

c) Apply a design and slide animation of your choice on each slide; and insert “a sound

Based on your ICT skills as a Trainer who attended TVET Trainer certificate course
in ICT module, read the following question and perform the related task within
Microsoft excel.

During the School year 2018, one of the TVET Schools admitted the students in
different trades including Masonry, Hospitality, Carpentry, Accounting, Computer
Application, Food processing, Tailoring, Moto-Vehicle inspection, Domestic
Electricity and Plumbing. The numbers of students admitted in each trade are
respectively given as below:

Boys: 27 20 30 14 20 12 18 11 33 25
Girls: 33 28 8 45 3 15 11 7 0 12

a) Make a table to record all related information in details as given above by


applying Font Style: Times New Roman, Size: 11) file name: Your First
Name. /2marks
b) Calculate the number of students registered in the school
/3marks
c) Display the Minimum and Maximum number of students registered based
on their trades /3marks
d) Make a copy of the table in the same sheet then sort trades and their
respective student number, from the lowest to the highest number of girls
/3marks
e) Insert a chart contains Trades (x -axis) and their Boys (Y-axis) and move it
to the new sheet and name it Boys Chart. /4Marks
f) Using filter in ms excel show a list of trades with girls between 70% - 90%
of the total students. Do this on the new sheet and name it as “Girls
Performance” /4marks
g) Due to the WDA regulations the trades are accredited and classified into
categories based on their student number as below:
 Trade with students number below 20 is classified as “Rejected”

 Trade with students number between 20 and 25 is classified as
“Accepted”
 Trade with students number between 26 and 30 is classified as
“Too much”
 Trade with students number between 31 and 40 is classified as
“Extra”
