Write a passage about your daily routine (about 100

words)
You should mention:
-How you start your day
-What you often do in the morning/afternoon/evening
-What your favorite time of the day is
-Why you like it or not

I start my day at 6:30 a.m. by doing Pilates and having a light breakfast. In
the morning, I focus on studying my favorite languages, such as English and
French. At noon, I have lunch with my friends and relax for about 30
minutes. Afternoons are spent assisting my mom with numbers and
accounting tasks. In the evening, I cook dinner for my family, clean the
house, review what I learned in the morning, and then go to bed. My favorite
time of the day is the evening because I enjoy cooking for my loved ones
and talking with them about the day. I really like this time as it allows me to
do what I love and spend quality time with my family.

2. Write a passage about your family (about 100 words)

You should mention:
-How many members your family has
-What their jobs are/ How old they are
-What activities your family often do together
-Why your family is important to you

My family consists of four members: my parents, my younger brother, and

me. My dad is 53 years old and works as a road construction worker. My
mom is 49 years old and is an accountant for a private company. My
younger brother is 13 years old and is a middle school student. We often do
activities together like going on trips, sightseeing along the roads, and
cleaning the house. My family is incredibly important to me because they
are my biggest supporters and always there for me.

3. Write a passage about your special occassion (about

100 words)
You should mention:
-What it is
-When and where it happened
-What you did on that day
-Why you enjoy it

One of the most special occasions for me is Tet, the Vietnamese Lunar New
Year. It usually takes place from the 27th of December to the 5th of January
in the lunar calendar. During this time, I often go shopping for Tet with my
mom, buy peach blossoms, and help decorate and clean the house. On New
Year’s Eve, my family gathers for a big year-end meal. We visit relatives to
give New Year wishes, receive lucky money, and go to the pagoda to pray
for good fortune. I really enjoy Tet because it brings everyone together after
a long year of working far from home. It also preserves Vietnamese
traditions and welcomes a new year full of success and happiness.
4. Write a passage about your house (about 100 words)
You should mention:
-How many rooms it has
-What room you like best
-What you often do in your favorite room
-Why you like it

My home consists of eight rooms: a spacious living area, my parents' private

sanctuary, my own personal space, my younger brother’s room, a fully-
equipped kitchen, a sacred worship room, a bathroom, and a toilet. The area
I cherish most is my bedroom, a comfortable retreat filled with everything I
hold dear. It features a well-stocked bookshelf, a study desk, a desktop
computer, a cozy bed, and high-quality headphones that assist me both in
studying and unwinding. I often engage in reading, listening to music,
watching films, or completing assignments in this peaceful haven. I adore
this room for its practicality, cleanliness, and intimate ambiance. The soft
lighting and the ability to watch the sunrise in the morning further enhance
its appeal.

5. Write a passage about your favorite place (about 100

words)
You should mention:
-Where it is
-How often you go there
-What you do there
-Why you like it

My favorite place is the park, located near my house. I usually go there on

weekends or during holidays to enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings.
I love to watch the colorful flowers blooming under the bright golden
sunlight, with birds chirping around me. Sometimes, I take a walk, relax on
the grass, or simply sit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I like this place
because it helps me unwind, feel connected to nature, and clear my mind
after a busy week. It’s a perfect spot to relax and recharge.

6. Write a passage about your last holiday (about 100

words)
You should mention:
-Where you went
-Who you went with
-What you did
-Why you like it or not

Last summer, my family embarked on unforgettable adventure to Ha Long

Bay. We stay at a cozy hotel near the beach. Our days were filled with
exciting activities. We rented kayaks and paddled through hidden lagoons
and secret caves. Our favorite pastime is sunbathing on the pristine
beaches, where we built sandcastles. I’ll never forget cruising among the
time-worn limestone karsts and witnessing the sunset paint the sky in hues
of orange and pink. The natural beauty was awe-inspiring. In the evening,
we ventured to a local seafood restaurant and indulged in a delicious feast
of fresh catch such as: the succulent grilled squid, squid cake, sea
cucumber, so on…. I really love our vacation because it gave us a chance to
bond. We had so much fun doing everything together and it made us feel
closer than ever.

7. Write a passage about your favorite dish (about 100

words)

One of my favorite dishes is stuffed bitter melon (canh mướp đắng nhồi thịt).
To prepare it, first cut the bitter melon into slices and remove the seeds.
Then, mix minced pork with black pepper, a little fish sauce, and shiitake
mushrooms for added fragrance. Stuff this flavorful mixture into the
hollowed-out melon. Next, simmer the stuffed melon in a pot of water,
seasoning with salt and a pinch of sugar, until everything is tender and
cooked through. The bitterness of the melon blends wonderfully with the
savory stuffing, creating a delicious and aromatic dish. It’s both healthy and
comforting, reminding me of home.
