Percentage. The researcher obtained the percentage distribution based on
the personal characteristics of the respondents.
The researcher used the formula below to calculate the percentage.

f = Frequency
n = number of observations
100 = constant value
2. Weighted Mean. This study utilized a weighted mean to determine the
qualitative analysis of the respondents’ extent of agreement on the research skills
and its relationship with the attitude of the respondents towards research.
The researcher calculated the Weighted Mean using the formula:
WM = Σfx n
Where: WM = Weighted Mean
Σfx = sum of the product of f and x
f = frequency and
x = weight of each options
n = number of observations
For meaningful interpretation of the results, this research utilized a 5-point
scale to describe respondents’ attitudes towards research and research skills, as
shown in Table 2.
