1.1.3 Introduction
The first section of this document, including ( Restoring the HIPAA Backup (option‐
al) / Page 31) is no longer applicable and is only for backup purposes!
SW reinstallation is performed using the COBR Tool. See the Ysio G2 (Installation / Soft‐
ware) CB-DOC on the CS Intranet, Print Number AX41-060.816.12.
This document describes installation of the system software for Ysio on a Celsius M460
PC. It is valid only for the SW versions mentioned on the cover sheet.
To install the software, you will need the corresponding SW installation DVD.
1.2 Preparations

1.2.2 Backup
Due to a software characteristic of the VB10B system SW, the Pattern folder, which re‐
sides on the D:\ partition, needs to be backed up prior to the SW installation!
1.2.4.1 Reading Out the Link Speed of the Primary Network Interface Card
n Select <System> <System Settings> <Control Panel>.
- Double-click on the <System> icon.
n Select the <Hardware> tab.
- Click on <Device Manager>.
- Double-click on <Network adapters>.
- Right mouse-click on the <Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit> entry.
- Select <Properties>
The Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet Properties window comes up.

Select the <Advanced> tab.
Link Speed
n If yes, right mouse-click on the printer icon and select <Properties> from the context
menu.
- On the General tab, read out the printer model and make a note of it in
( Tab. 3 Page 8).
- Click on the Ports tab.
- With the vertical scroll bar, scroll all the way down, read out the printer's TCP/IP ad‐
dress and make a note of it in ( Tab. 3 Page 8).
- Select the Advanced tab and make a note of the Driver's name in
( Tab. 3 Page 8).
- On the Device Settings tab, read out the paper size used, i.e. A4, and make a note
of it in ( Tab. 3 Page 8).

Sporadically while the uninstallation process is taking place, an opcle error pop-
up may appear. This error is not relevant for uninstallation. Close the pop-up
with <OK> to continue.
- Press <Continue> when uninstallation is complete and the System Management in‐
stall.log is displayed( 1/Fig. 25 Page 28).
- A reboot request is displayed on the following page, see ( Fig. 4 Page 9).
Confirm the reboot request with <OK>.
The FL-C will reboot.

Uninstallation Successful
n Following the reboot, again select <Configuration> <System Management> in the
FL-C service mode.
n No checkboxes for Installed and Activated may be selected and the status
must be set to not installed.
n No template version may be displayed under Template update.
System Management has been uninstalled successfully.
n Exit the service mode.
n Switch OFF the system.

1.3.1 Preparations
For the following steps, it is important that the computer recognize the CD drive as the
bootable device.
Therefore, you have to change the BIOS settings and enable the Boot menu.
The old BIOS settings must be re-established at the end of the installation!

- Load application
This option is used if you need to install only the operating system and the application.
The second partition of the HD with the medical studies is not affected. The existing
medical studies are retained. Continue at ( New Installation of Software without Parti‐
tioning of the HD / Page 13).

The SW installation and subsequent component download process may take up to 45 mi‐
nutes. During that time, no mouse / keyboard activity is necessary.
Do not remove the SW DVD unless the download process has ended and the FL-C re‐
mains in patient list.
n A new window appears and displays the installation progress. This will take approx.
15 minutes.
If the hour glass appears for more than 1 minute in the Ghost screen, disconnect the
power connector on the back of the PC and reconnect it. Wait until the PC boots and
start again with ( Booting the System DVD / Page 11).
If a blank screen with the note Clearing CAF file attribute... appears for
more than 1 minute, disconnect the power connector on the back of the PC and recon‐
nect it. Wait until the PC boots and start again with ( Booting the System
DVD / Page 11).
Patience is required!
Do not touch the keyboard or mouse. Do not remove the DVD from the drive.
n This reboot is followed by another reboot (certain pop-ups will appear). No user action
is required.
- The XP firewall is configured.
n Download of the XCU and the generator will be performed automatically. This may
take 30 - 40 minutes! Be patient, no interaction is necessary!
n When finished, the FL-C application starts and comes up with the FL-C patient list.

Confirm the message and ignore it.
If a window named System Message appears in the lower right corner of the screen,
confirm it.
If the PC does not shut down within 5 minutes, disconnect the power connector on the
back of the PC and reconnect it.

n The service software will be started and the login screen will appear

- Mark the HSet as default checkbox, ( 1/Fig. 14 Page 18).
- Enter the first 14 digits of the service key you noted in ( Tab. 1 Page 5) in the left
input box ( 2/Fig. 14 Page 18).
- Click in the right input box ( 3/Fig. 14 Page 18).
- Enter the last 6 digits of the service key you noted in ( Tab. 1 Page 5).
- Press the <OK> button to login.

n If a valid service password has been entered correctly, the Service Software Main
menu ( Fig. 16 Page 19) appears.

The FL-C SSW ( Fig. 17 Page 20) is started by clicking on the <FL-C Service> button in
( Fig. 16 Page 19).
- Confirm all the safety inquiries that follow with <OK> or <Yes>.
- When Restore is finished, remove the CD from the drive and close the drive.

n Once the restore has finished, the Distribute Restored Files dialog appears
( Fig. 19 Page 23).

n Switch OFF the system and wait until the system has shut down.
n Switch the system ON again.
1.5.2 Restoring Test Images, optional only for the VB10B System SW
n If the Prepare hard disk + load application option was selected for the SW installa‐
tion procedure, the test images must be recovered as follows:
For backup purposes, the pattern folder is also published on the CS Intranet. Navigate
to: For Service > AX Systems > Radiography > Ysio Systems > Software. Download
and unzip the pattern.exe folder and burn the extracted pattern folder on CD using
the Service PC.
Insert the CD which contains the backed up Pattern folder into the into the CD drive
and wait until the LED on the drive stops blinking.
- Press the <Ctrl> and <Esc> keys simultaneously.
The Windows Start menu appears.
- Select <Start> <Programs> <Windows Explorer>.
The Windows Explorer will start.
- Navigate to D:\Studies\.
- Delete the Pattern folder under D:\Studies.
- Press the <Ctrl> and <Esc> keys simultaneously.
The Windows Start menu appears.
- Select <Start> <Programs> <Windows Explorer>.
A second Windows Explorer will start.
- Navigate to the CD drive which contains the Pattern folder.
- Select the Pattern folder.
- Copy the Pattern folder to the clipboard by pressing the <Ctrl> and <C> keys simul‐
taneously.
- In the first Explorer window, paste the Pattern folder to D:\Studies by pressing the
<Ctrl> and <V> keys simultaneously.
- Close both Explorer windows.
Do ! NOT ! press the <Import Test Images> button under <Diagnostic> <Import / Ex‐
port> in the FL-C service mode, otherwise test images will be deleted!
Prerequisite for the following configuration steps of System Management is that the SRS
router is set up correctly (refer to the corresponding system Startup Instructions). Other‐
These instructions are not applicable for initial System Management installation!
The following paragraph describes how to restart System Management if it was previ‐
ously in use.
Every time <System Management > is selected, the System Management install.log is
updated and displayed in the browser window ( Fig. 21 Page 26). Press <Continue>
to proceed.
n Press <Continue>.
n At the top of the page, the Location which was restored is displayed automatically
and appears dimmed.
n The IP address of the DICOM Connection that is configured under Network Settings
(Control Panel) is displayed under Network Adapter TCP/IP address
( Fig. 22 Page 27).
If Outside NAT is configured, the IP addresses for Event Mgmt. and SW Distribution Serv‐
er are also shown in ( Fig. 22 Page 27) (the screen shot below illustrates an example
only!).

n To test the connectivity, press the <Ping> button. Since this is a very time-critical ac‐
tion, it is possible that a connection will not be immediately established. Because of
this, several attempts should be made.
The server must send back a message displayed in the status bar:

- Once the installation / registration process has finished, the System Management
install.log is displayed( Fig. 25 Page 28).
Press <Continue>, ( 1/Fig. 25 Page 28).
-The status of the MNP is as shown in ( Fig. 27 Page 29).
Checking the Installation
n The following conditions must be met ( Tab. 4 Page 28):
- Select <Configuration> <SRS Configuration> <System Management> in the FL-C
service software.

If the Installation / Registration fails, what is called a rollback to an Offline Installation
will be performed. For the status, see ( Fig. 29 Page 30).

- Offline Installation
a) Restoring a recovery image which does not contain the RUH package(s)
b) Reinstallation of the system software
c) Replacing the PC (which leads to: a) restore of a recovery image)
n How to find out which RUH package(s) applies to the particular system:
- A technical info is published in the CS Knowledge Base (SKB0037721). This is a ref‐
erence table for all RuH packages that have been released for the RFU platform.
To make sure if a package applies to a particular system, contact your dispatcher/
USC/RSC.
- Install the RuH package per the appropriate UI.
n After this is done, create an up-to-date recovery image of the system partition.
1.6.1 Prerequisites
n The step ’New installation of software, including the partitioning of the HD' must al‐
ready have been performed completely, including the restore of the site-specific da‐
ta.
n There are no images on the new hard disk.
n Switch off the system.
n Wait until the FL-C has shut down.
n System power has to be turned off at the main breaker.
n If not already done, remove the left cover from the old PC now.
- Loosen the two green screws on the back of the PC housing and move the side pan‐
el slightly to the rear.
- Remove the side panel of the PC.
- Disconnect the power connector ( 1/Fig. 30 Page 33) and data cable
( 2/Fig. 30 Page 33) at the back of the hard drive.
- Slightly push in the 2 green ends of the mounting brackets and pull out the hard
disk.
n Insert the old hard disk ( 2/Fig. 31 Page 33) in the drive cage of the new PC, direct‐
ly below the first hard drive ( 1/Fig. 31 Page 33).
n Use one free connector of the SATA power connection cable and plug it into the pow‐
er socket of the secondary hard disk as shown in ( Fig. 32 Page 34).
n Unplug the SATA data cable of the first DVD-drive (upper one) and plug it into the da‐
ta socket the secondary hard disk as shown in ( Fig. 32 Page 34).
n Switch on the system at the generator and wait until the application is running.
n Enter the service mode.
n Start the FL-C SSW.
n Select <System>.
n Select <Image Rescue> from the tree browser on the left.

n Press the <Image rescue> button. Answer the requester with <OK>.
After a few seconds, the message Image save completed successfully is
shown.
The Patient Database is rebuilt.
1.7.1 XCU
Start the service software.
n Select <Configuration> <Download>
The PMS Download page appears ( Fig. 33 Page 36).
- Mark the Install checkbox H for XCU+.
In the next screen, ( 1/Fig. 35 Page 38), mark the checkbox H for X-Ray Control
Unit (XCU).
- Start the restore with <G0>.
- After the restore is finished, leave the page with <Exit>
n Press <Home> to return to the service software Main menu.
After XCU replacement, a new service key and new license keys are necessary. (Li‐
cense.dat file)
The Host ID the System Part No. and Serial No. are required for a new service key and

n Switch ON the system and wait until the FL-C application software is running.
An error message may be displayed on the screen: error 101/80.
Confirm the error!
The generator continues bootup sequence and finally displays 56 on the D600
board and 63 on the D611 board.
n An error message may be displayed on the screen at the end of the generator bootup
phase: error 101/80.
Confirm the error!
n Start the service software.
n In the Service Software log-in, highlight the checkbox H Set as default.
- Enter the first 14 digits of the N E W service key in the left input box.
- Click on the right input box.
- Enter the last 6 digits of the N E W service key.
- Press <OK> to log in.
n Select <Configuration> <Download>.
The PMS Download page appears.
The expected actual version of the XCU+ to be displayed is VB08B.
If the displayed actual version is lower than VB08B, download of the XCU will fail!
=> Order a new XCU.
- When Restore is finished, remove the DVD from the drive and close the drive.
n Then the Distribute Restored Files dialog appears ( Fig. 37 Page 41).
- Highlight the checkbox H for X-Ray Control Unit (XCU) ( 1/Fig. 37 Page 41).
- Start the restore with <G0>.
- After the restore is finished, leave the page with <Exit>.
- If prompted, confirm the request for Config Check and wait until it has ended.
Config Check will run automatically.
- Run AutoConf, if requested.
- Close the AutoConf page with <Exit>.
- Press <Home> to return to the service software Main menu.
1. Select <FL-C Service> <Configuration> <License> from the SSW Main menu.
2. Press <License Import>.
3. Press <Go> to import the file.
4. Confirm any pop-up windows that appear.
5. Exit FL-C service.
6. Switch the system OFF.
7. Wait until the FL-C has switched off.
8. Switch the system back on at the remote control console.
System Configuration:
1. Select <Configuration> <System config> from the service software main menu.
2. Select <AutoLic>.
3. Select <Save> and then exit the menu with <EXIT>.
Confirm the messages with <OK>.
- After the restore is finished, remove the DVD from the drive and close the tray.
The TUI must be accessible from the rear, see the Replacement of Parts Instructions
(AXB7-020.841).

1.7.3 Generator
A download of the generator is necessary, e.g., if the MCB F80 board (piggyback board on
D600 board) was replaced.
Start the service software.
n Select <Configuration> <Download>
The PMS Download page appears.
- Mark the Install checkbox H for Polydoros F80.
- Start the download with <Go>.
n After the download is finished, leave the page with <Exit>.
n Press <Home> to return to the service software Main menu.
Prior downloading the RAD Controller / CAN Components, make sure an up-to-date sys‐
tem backup exists.
n In the service software Home menu, select <Configuration> <RAD Crtl. Download>
The following page appears, ( Fig. 42 Page 46).

n After the reboot is done, next page appears ( Fig. 44 Page 47).

- Wait for completion. The message RAD Controller up again! Please per-
form a Config Check will be displayed.
- From the Select drive list box, select Local, ( 1/Fig. 47 Page 48).
- From the Select package list box, select Distribute files from Host (FL-C) to Com‐
ponents only, ( 2/Fig. 47 Page 48).
- Press <GO>.
- In the next screen, ( Fig. 48 Page 49), mark the checkboxes H for Stand Con‐
trol Unit (SCU), Collimator Control Unit and DCU2 (DAP Control Unit).

n After the Config Check is concluded, press <Exit> to return to the service software
Main menu.
- After the reboot is done, the following page appears, ( Fig. 51 Page 51).

Depending on the installed controller HW for the Controller Table lift drive and for the
remote control, a version error may be displayed for this CAN component. Ignore it.
- Once a CAN component download is completed, the screen shown below appears.

Follow the instructions in the window below.
- Switch OFF the system, wait 5 seconds and switch the system ON again (within 10
seconds)! Then press <Confirm>.
- Wait for completion.
The message RAD Controller up again! will be displayed.
n In the service software Home menu, select <Configuration> and perform a Config
Check and Auto Conf, if requested.
n Afterwards, perform a Version Check.
