About NAPPS Nursery 1 Scheme of Work
As an educator, your primary goal is to find good study material that explains the
scheme of work for each term in detail so you can break it down for your
children. This is the study material you need.

This NAPPS Scheme of Work for Nursery 1 is designed to provide a wholesome


but engaging educational foundation for young learners. The syllabus consists of
6 subjects namely: Literacy, Numeracy, Pre-Science, Health Habits, Social Habits,
and Handwriting.

Each subject is written to meet the educational needs of Nursery 1 students,


promoting social, emotional, and physical growth through interactive and
age-appropriate activities. This ensures your students have a well-rounded
approach to early childhood education.

The primary aim of the NAPPS Nursery 1 syllabus is to:


i. Foster a love for learning in children

ii. Build the essential skills for future academic success.

iii. Create an environment where children can explore, discover, and grow.

The table above shows age grades for children between 0-6 years old according
to the Lagos State Unified Scheme of Work. It lists the class young learners are
expected to be placed in based on their age to ensure appropriate academic and
social development.

This system of age grading helps the association create educational content and
teaching methods to the developmental needs of each age group, and foster a
conducive learning environment.
Introduction
Having a good foundation in Mathematics is one skill parents and edu-
cators should prioritize. This is why we urge you to take a look at this
NAPPS Numeracy Scheme of Work for Nursery 1.

The scheme of work introduces children to numbers, counting, shapes,


and simple arithmetic. Children are taught using charts, stamps, videos,
flashcards, etc making it a fun, interactive class

The aim of this NAPPS Nursery 1 Numeracy Scheme of Work is to:


i. Provide young children with a solid foundation in basic math

ii. Allow children to learn to recognize and count numbers, identify dif-
ferent shapes,

iii. Fostering a love for math and encouraging children to explore the
world of numbers.
