Note From Creator
Howdy! This is a new little series so I can have some more
frequent uploads. In this series every other week or so I will
be taking a Yokai and transforming it into a monster for 5th
Edition. However something should be noted, these are not
direct translations as I will be altering their lore and abilities
to better work for a tabletop setting. Because of this I highly
recomend you do your own research on these wonderful
ghouls and ghosties yourself, I personally have been using
yokai.com as a jumping off point as their art and descriptions
are amazing. Most of the time these creatures original stories
are much more interesting then whatever I could come up
with so I suggest using this as an excuse to learn about
another culture you may not have considered before.
Hope you enjoy and thank you to Matthew Meyer and others
for making this information accessible to English speakers

a closed fist. Often found in vineyards the grape tangler's
pungent aroma intoxicates those that come close allowing
the tangler to get its vines around them. It should be noted
that some vineyards activly allow grape tanglers to grow as
their grapes make particularly high quality wine.

The target must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving

Updates n' Such 2/20/2024
Well here is #2 of this series, took longer than expected as I
decided to make four monsters instead of just the one. #3 will
be based on either Koto furunushi, or Atuikakura.
I am also working on some mindflayer/psionic related stuff.
