Ans 1. File management refers to the process of organising, storing and handling files on
the hard disk of the computer system.

Que 2. What is a file?


Ans 2. A file is an object on a computer that stores data, information, text, pictures,
videos, audios, etc. and is saved on the computer directly in the hard disk.

Que 3. What is the difference between a folder and a subfolder?


Ans 3. A folder is an object on the computer that is used to keep your files whereas a
folder inside the folder is called a subfolder.

Que 4. Define File Explorer?


Ans 4. File Explorer is a program that is used to manage files and folders. You can find it
on the taskbar of your desktop.
