MDU Fault Codes

Code Problem

F920 Transmission oil temperature sensor voltage less than 0.27 V. Transmission oil temperature will be displayed
as dashes on the MDU.
F924 Transmission oil temperature 87—96°C (190—205°F).
F925 Transmission oil temperature sender voltage greater than 4.96 V. Transmission oil temperature will be
displayed as dashes on the MDU.
F927 Transmission oil temperature greater than 96°C (205°F) and signal voltage greater than 0.28 V.
Transmission damage will occur after continued use.
F960 Fuel level sensor voltage low. MDU will not display fuel level.
F965 Fuel level sensor voltage high. MDU will not display fuel level.
F974 Alternator voltage greater than 16.0 V.
F980 Hydraulic oil temperature sensor voltage lower than 0.27 V. Hydraulic oil temperature will be displayed as
dashes on the MDU.
F984 Hydraulic oil temperature 107—113°C (225—235°F).
F985 Hydraulic oil temperature sensor voltage higher than 4.96 V. Hydraulic oil temperature will be displayed as
dashes on the MDU.
F987 Hydraulic oil temperature greater than 113°C (235°F) and signal voltage greater than 0.28 V. Hydraulic
damage will occur after continued use.

F990 Engine oil pressure sensor voltage less than 0.27 V. MDU will not display engine coolant temperature.
F995 Engine oil pressure sensor voltage greater than 4.95 V. MDU will not display engine coolant temperature.

F996 Engine oil pressure less than 69 kPa (0.69 bar) (10 psi) and engine is running greater than 800 rpm. Very low
oil pressure will damage engine under continued operation.
F9A3 MDU configuration does not match ECU configuration.
F9AA MDU fails to self-configure.
F9C3 MDU not receiving CAN messages from Transmission Control Unit (TCU).
F9C4 MDU not receiving CAN messages from Engine Control Unit (ECU).
F9D0 Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage is at 0.05 V.
F9D5 Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage is greater than 4.975 V.
F9D7 Engine coolant sensor temperature higher than operating range. ECU will derate fuel delivery.
