DHS PMT IT Application Development requires an additional Oracle PL/SQL developer to create to: DHS IT Application
back-end software. This developer will work on existing mission critical applications. Development

In this role, the developer must be able to interpret business requirement documents, write Date: Monday, October
functional code and unit test. Additionally, the developer will be required to fix defects in legacy 21, 2024

Responsibilities

• Participate in requirements analysis


• Take direction from senior developers
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce software
• Write clean, scalable code
• Unit test and prepare applications for deployment
• Revise, update, refactor and debug code
• Improve existing software
• Create documentation as required
• Provide production support
• Available to provide third tier support to the help desk on assigned weekends and holidays if needed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a PL/SQL Application Developer using Toad, SQL Plus (minimum 5 years)
• Ability to create views, packages, functions, and stored procedures
• Ability to work with collections
• Ability to work with async processes
• Interpret execution plans and optimize queries and functions
• Ability to create complex DML and debug
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
• Attention to detail is of the utmost importance
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of development experience
