Other information you need to remember

1. Talking/disrupting during lesson is unacceptable and will result in exclusion or detention. No excuses!!!
2. When individual work is assigned, students are NOT allowed to share information or ask each other
questions. Students who do not follow directions will be given a zero for the assignment.
3. When working in groups, for example, during lab activities, students in a group are NOT allowed to walk to
other stations or talk to members of other groups, unless instructed by the teacher. Students who do not
follow directions will receive a zero for the assignment and will not be allowed to participate in the
laboratory activity.
4. It is recommended that students keep their notes and assignments in a binder. Additionally, the students will
have a laboratory folder (which stays in the classroom and is provided by the teacher). The students will
place their lab assignments in the laboratory folder, and these will be collected after each lab. It is the
responsibility of the students to place their work in their group folder. If the lab assignment is not in the
folder when the folder is checked, the student will receive a zero.
5. Cheating on quizzes/tests or copying another student’s work is unacceptable. All students involved will
receive a zero for the assignment.
6. If a student is absent or excluded from class, the student is responsible for obtaining and learning the
information covered during class and for making up any assignment missed. Assignments will be posted on
Schoology, and they must be turned in by the due date. Assignments must be done on time; they will not be
accepted late.
7. If a student is absent for a TEST or QUIZ, the student will make up the missed assignment the day
he/she returns to class. If the student is absent for a lab activity, the student will need to make it up
the Monday following the absence, from 2:30-3:30 PM. Failure to make up the missed assignment will
result in a zero for that assignment. Students will NOT be allowed to make up assignments if the
absence is UNEXCUSED.
8. Cell phones and laptops (and other electronic devices) must be put away. If a student is using a cell
phone or any other electronic device during class, the student will be excluded from class.
