1. At present working as Scientist-II in “Aurobindo Pharma Limited” Research center I,

treat blood clots in conditions such as transient ischemia of the brain or completed
ischemic stroke due to thrombosis.
 Formulation of Delayed release (Mini-tablets in capsule) capsules for treating
Multiple sclerosis.
 Formulation of Extended release capsules for treating Benign Prostatic
Hyperplasia.
 Formulation of IR tablets of Anti-viral to treat chronic hepatitis B virus infection.
 DoE studies of IR tablets for treatment of primary biliary cirrhosis and to prevent
gall stones.
 Formulation of IR tablets of Anti-coagulant to treat blood clots in conditions such
as DVT (Deep vein thrombosis) and PE (Pulmonary embolism).
 Formulation of IR tablets of Oral contraceptives (Different strengths Look Like

 Formulation of Bi-phasic (Core modified release followed by immediate release
layer) dosage form for anti-diabetic drugs.

 Formulation and scale up studies for IR, Chewable tablets for anti asthma drug.

Job Responsibilities
For NCE (Solid orals):
 Extensive pre-formulation studies to understand the nature of molecule. API solid state
screening, determining physico-chemical properties and solubility studies
 Selection of suitable dosage form, manufacturing process & packaging material.
 Selection of dissolution media and identifying discriminative dissolution indicating in-vivo
performance.
For GENERICS:

 Literature search, pre-formulation studies and formulation trials leading to identification


of a suitable composition for the product.
 Optimization of formulation and the process through DOE (design of experiments) studies
and performing scale up studies.
 Performing stability studies on drug product as per ICH Guidelines.
 Preparation of relevant documents like Batch Manufacturing Protocol (BMP), Batch
Manufacturing Record (BMR), Master Formula Card (MFC), Master Packaging
Configuration (MPC) and Product Development Report (PDR).

 Assistance in Review of analytical data, preparation of periodic project reports and sharing
to clients.

Technical Skills:

 Good knowledge on patent reading, understanding & extracting out an non-infringing


strategy.
 NCE development with a minimal API consumption.
 Product development by discrimination indicating dissolution method with USP type III
apparatus using bio-relevant media for modified release dosage forms.
 Good hands on experience on pellet coating - Bottom spray of all size pellets ranging -
#20 to #60), trouble shooting processing problems and optimization of process parameters.
 Hands on experience & knowledge on Solid Dispersion technique (Hot Melt Extrusion
and spray drying).
 Decent knowledge on DEO designs, design selection, interpretation & analysis.
 Knowledge of ICH Quality guidelines.

1. Completed the Design of Experiments module of the course
Statistical Thinking for Industrial Problem Solving and earned the
badge from SAS JMP- Credly.

2. Successfully completed “General course on Intellectual property


DL-101E” conducted by WIPO with 77 percentage.
