1
Introduction
PaxeraViewer is a Cross-Platform DICOM viewer for viewing and manipulating
DICOM images & cine.
The software has the ability to open and display studies obtained from different
imaging modalities, apply some image processing and measurements on the image.

Work Space
When you Launch PaxeraViewer from either CD or double click on the executable,
the following main window will be shown
Section A:
You can Exit or Minimize the application from this panel.
A drop down list containing all the loaded studies can be used to View different
studies.
Section B:
The "Thumbnail Panel", this panel contains all the thumbnails of the displayed study
series.

Section C:
The main display panel, where all images windows are displayed.
Section D:
The "Tools Panel", where all the processing tools buttons are placed.
Loading Studies
Loading studies to PaxeraViewer is done either from CD/DVD or Directory.
The loaded study's series will be populated to the current layout automatically.
In case of multiple studies, the first study will be displayed for the first time.

2. Loading study from CD/DVD:
To load study from CD/DVD, click on the CD folder icon in the Tools Panel, and
the all the studies in the CD/DVD driver will be loaded with only the first study
displayed.

Image Processing
A lot of image processing can be done on the image to provide more diagnostic
facilities.

Multiple Selection:
To select multiple annotation objects click on the "Select" item in the
Annotation Menu from the Annotations Button of the Tools Panel.
Delete Annotation:
To delete annotation you can either select the annotation then press
"Del" of the keyboard, or "Delete" item in the Annotation Menu from
the Annotations Button of the Tools Panel.

2. Processes
PaxeraViewer provides the ability to perform some processes on the image such
as Invert, Fit (that fits the image to its window), Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical,
Rotate 90 clockwise, and Rotate 180.

3. Changing Layout
You can change the screen layout, by selecting the desired configuration from the
"Layout" button in the Tools Panel.

4. Right Click Menu
A right click menu is available for more simplicity and easy access to
processing options including:
Fit image to window
Zoom image to “Actual Size”.
Invert Image
Flip Vertical
Flip Horizontal
Reset
Hide and show annotations.
Hide and show Information
Hide and show overlay.
