ARTS: Explains the elements and principles applied in digital art.
What is Krita?
Krita is a free and open-source raster graphics editor designed primarily for digital painting and
2D animation. It features an Open GL-accelerated canvas, color management support, an
advanced brush engine, non-destructive layers and masks (similar to Adobe Photoshop), group-
based layer management, vector artwork support and switchable customization profiles. It is
widely used by many artists because it is the best free software available online
There are lots of free photo editing software available on the internet nowadays. Here are the top
5 free available softwares that you can try; Medibang, GIMP, Photoscape, Pixlr, and Krita. and if
you are planning to take it to another level, let me guide you in some of the commands and
menus inside the Krita software.
Open your Laptop or Desktop if you don’t have Krita software on your PC you can have it for free
by downloading it on their website at krita.org.. In your krita creating a file can be done in easy
way, by clicking the shortcut icon on the upper part of the workspace. You can make your
desired size of canvass and its resolution. If you have created your canvass size, now it’s time to
start by dropping the picture of your artwork with the use of select shape tool. Then create
another layer and name it as tracing, lower down the opacity of the picture by adjusting it on the
Layer Docker. You can also add text of your painting using text tool. Lots of font type is available
for you so you can change anytime you want. The free hand brush tool can select color from the
color wheel and render it on your drawing. Millions of color ranges from warm to light to
saturation here. Different brush style can also be used located at the brush Preset Docker.
Zooming in and zooming out is also possible at krita. You can use it by selecting zoom tool, the
magnifying lens icon which generate function. On the other hand. pan tool is the shortest way to
look at the part of your drawing by simply clicking it and swiping across reaching the desired
part. Creating dynamic shapes and polygons is simple and with Bezier tool. Crop tool will help
you delete some part of the picture that you think is not needed on your illustration while the
eraser tool can be used as eraser or brush that gives you options to select only portion that you
want to be out. Mirror or mirroring helps you see the reverse or opposite side of your artwork
and gives you more proper proportion and balance. If you have enjoyed the process of making
digital painting, save your artwork first before closing the software by simply striking the control
+ S key and put name on your file. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDl2mQysNLY
Filipinos are competitive. This is very evident in the games that we play. It seems that our
lives are incomplete without games. We have taken up in the previous module the examples of
these games. Some of these are targeting games, striking games and fielding games. These games
are bounded by rules in order for us to enjoy and develop discipline. Players are required to
strictly follow these set of rules in order to avoid injury to the other players and the playing teams
as well. Aside from these rules, safety precautions are also being practiced and observed to
ensure smooth and sound games. Let us familiarize ourselves with some of these SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
Young people gain knowledge and skills focused on health promotion more likely to
