GUIDELINES FOR WRITTEN LAB REPORT FOR MIC220

1. The report must not exceed 10 PAGES and should beprepared using the electronic copy provided. Marks will be deducted if more
than 10 pages. Every report should have the following sections:
 Title (state general title cover for all lab report)
 Authors (list all the group member’s name)
 Affiliation (School of Biology, Faculty of Applied Science, University Teknologi MARA, Kampus Kuala Pilah)
 Corresponding Author’s Email (state group leader email)
 Abstract (one paragraph limit to 300 words)
 Keyword (limit to five keywords)
 Introduction (limit to one pages only)
 Materials (list all the raw material and chemical used)
 Procedure ( list all the methods used in all lab 1-4)
 Data ( presented all data in infographics pictures and diagram)
 Result ( state all results in the data sections using sentences)
 Discussion (limit to 3 pages with no wordings limits)
 Conclusion (one paragraph limit to 300 words)
 Acknowledgement (up to one or two sentences)
 References (minimum 10 references)

2. Submit an electronic copy of the Group Report (both word and pdf format). Please ensure the file name is saved as the
following: WRITTEN LAB REPORT MIC220: AS1144A1 (GROUP X)

3. Lab report should be submitted at Week 7 (Refer to Lesson Plan for MIC220). Submit Only ONE lab report is required for the
whole lab sessions (Lab1-4).
