HOMEWORK 7: Dimensioning and Annotating 2D Drawing from a Part Model

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this tutorial, students should be able to
1. Layout a given part model by selecting the number and type of views to
effectively describe the given 3D part model.
2. Move views, break alignment of views and realign views.
3. Create the following views: base, projected, section, auxiliary, cropped, aligned,
broken-out and detail views.
4. Add dimensions and annotations to given views by applying drawing practices
for dimensioning in accordance with ISO recommendations.
5. Use auxiliary view to show true shape of inclined and oblique surfaces.
6. Use auxiliary view to determine the true angle between surfaces
7. Dimensions the views using the model sketch dimensions.

Tasks:
1. Study the given part model and detail the model with complete dimensioning
and annotation in either 1st or 3rd Angle Projection.

Note:
• Refer to lecture notes on the do and don’t in dimensioning.
