3. By use of arrow diagrams, determine whether the given relation is a function on the set
A = {1, 2, 3, 4} .
(a) f1 = {(1, 1) , (2, 1) , (3, 1) , (4, 2)} .
(b) f2 = {(1, 3) , (2, 2) , (3, 2) , (4, 1) , (2, 1)} .

4. Let X = {1, 4, 7} , Y = {3, 4, 5} and let R be a relation from set X to set Y defined by

9. Find the range of each function for the given domain.
