Introduction

This document describes how to use the Labor Time Guide to determine the time that is allotted for
each type of repair.

To access the Labor Time Guide use the left navigation bar and go to Claims & Warranty
Administration→Labor Time Guide

The screen displayed has 4 actions that can be taken

Additional Documents:
Click on Additional Documents and all the documents that are available for download are displayed.

Clicking on any document will allow the user to open or save that document.

Click on View Data->View all Fail Codes to view the All Fail Codes – SOA page.

Click on View Data->View all Operations link to view the All Operations page.

Basic Navigation
Tools for ease of use are the same on all 3 pages above

Set the number of records to appear per page by clicking the drop down and choosing the number
to be displayed as highlighted below in yellow. (Default is 10 per page)

Navigating pages can be done using the Navigation Tool as highlighted below in blue.

The Search will narrow the number of results returned by typing the word(s) needed as shown
below. The more specific the words the more exact the results will be as shown below when typing
'Oil' the results went from 511 pages to 24 pages.

Searching for 'Oil Pan" reduces the results to 2 pages

Each Column has a Sort button so that the user can change the order of the list.

Clicking this button sorts the list based on the column where the sort was clicked. Clicking once on a
button sorts in Ascending Order (A-Z). Clicking on the same button again will change the order to
Descending (Z-A).

Select Vehicle: Click on Select button to view the Select a Vehicle screen.

Select a vehicle screen: The default country ‘US’ is selected as the logged in user is a SOA user

User can select the country as ‘Canada’ and search for SCI models:

Search based on valid VIN: Enter 17 Character VIN or the last 8 characters of any valid VIN and click
on Submit

Based on the entered VIN, multiple VINs could be associated to the 8-character VIN, then the below
screen is displayed:

Select the correct VIN by clicking on the Select button next to that VIN

Example: JF2SH6BCXAG804828 (2010 Forester)

The selected VIN related Repair Data Screen will display:

If a Vehicle was selected in error, click on the Select Button to be returned to the Select a Vehicle
Screen.

Just type the new VIN and click the Submit Button

The Recent VIN(s) stores the previously searched VIN(s) and allows the user to easily return to those
without having to type them in again. Click anywhere in the field and the list will display as shown
below. Click on the VIN desired and click on the Submit button.

Clicking on the X will clear the field and the X will turn to a drop down where a recent VIN can also
be selected.

Another way to select a vehicle is with the selection as US and the corresponding Year, Model and
Trim combination:

Searching for Types of Labor

The Navigation Bar on the left can be used to search under the various topics and subtopics to find
the correct repair. Click on the topics to expand the list. Once a list is expanded clicking on it will
collapse the list. The example below shows various details that are available

• Operations
o Item
o OpCode
o Description
o Hours
o View Images
▪ Link to Image
• Notes
• Retailer Notes
o Ability to Add/Edit/Delete Notes
• Fail Codes

Using the Search by functionality gives the user different options to speed up the time it takes to
search for a repair.

Searches can be done by:

• Part Number
• Fail Code Description
• Operation Description
• Fail Code
• Operation Code

Search by – Part Number
Choose Part Number in the drop down and type the Part Number in the text field.

Click Submit to search.

Click Clear to clear the text field and type a different part number.

Search by – Fail Code Description

Choose Fail Code Description in the drop down and type the description in the text field.

Click Submit to search.

Click Clear to clear the text field and type a different description.

Using the Example of 'part'

All Fail Codes with a description that includes the search value which is 'part' in this example are

Search by Operation Description

Choose Operation Description in the drop down and type the description in the text field.

Click Submit to search.

Click Clear to clear the text field and type a different description.

All Operation Descriptions with a description that includes the search value which is 'rear axle' in this
example are displayed below.

Select the repair and the details are shown on the right.

Search by Fail Code

Choose Fail Code in the drop down and type the description in the text field.

Click Submit to search.

Click Clear to clear the text field and type a different description.

Search by Operation Code

Choose Operation Code in the drop down and type the description in the text field.

Add/Edit Notes

Click on Add/Edit Notes button in Retailer Notes section to edit or add the retailer notes.

After clicking on Add/Edit Notes the pop-up window displays which will allow the user to add new
notes or edit the existing notes. Make any changes to the notes and click on Save button

Notes are saved to the Retailer Notes section as shown in highlight below.

Delete Notes
Click on Delete icon to delete the dealer notes:

Click on No to cancel the deletion.

Click on Yes to delete the dealer notes:

When an error occurs while deleting the dealer notes the below message will be displayed.
