OBJECTIVES:

The primary objective of the idea-solving and ideation workshop organized by the
Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut
(NITC) was to foster innovative thinking among students and faculty. By engaging with
Dr. Sherin Sam Jose, an expert in the field and CEO of Startups Valley at Amal Jyothi
TBI, participants were exposed to structured methods of generating and refining ideas.
This exposure aimed to enhance their problem-solving skills and creativity, enabling
them to approach challenges with a fresh perspective and develop viable solutions.
The workshop was designed to demystify the processes of idea generation and
implementation, making them accessible and applicable to real-world scenarios.

Another key objective was to promote a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation


within the NITC community. By providing detailed insights and practical examples, the
workshop sought to inspire participants to pursue their ideas and transform them into
tangible outcomes. The coordination by Dr. Preethi M., Vice President of IIC NITC and
CEO of TBI NITC, underscored the institution’s commitment to supporting
entrepreneurial initiatives and providing the necessary resources and mentorship. This

The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut

featured Dr. Sherin Sam Jose, the CEO of Startups Valley at Amal Jyothi Technology
Business Incubator (TBI), as the keynote speaker. Dr. Sherin is renowned for his
expertise in nurturing startups and guiding entrepreneurial ventures. His session
provided attendees with a clear, step-by-step understanding of idea solving and

OUTCOME OF THE ACTIVITY:

The idea-solving and ideation workshop organized by the Institution's Innovation


Council (IIC) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) yielded several

1. Enhanced Innovative Thinking: Participants, including students and faculty, gained


a deeper understanding of the ideation and idea-solving processes. Dr. Sherin Sam
