Land and General Berhad (LGB) fully owns Lang Education Sdn Bhd, or LESB for short. In order to offer a different educational choice to its township and the

neighbouring areas, Sri Bestari International School began accepting students in 2017 as part of the LESB. The school modified the UK curriculum for this

purpose.

Sri Bestari International School was built on 15 acres with the goal of becoming the top international school in Kuala Lumpur. It has over 50 roomy and airy

classrooms, 8 studios for music and performing arts, an indoor and outdoor playground, 10 fully equipped labs for all subjects in the sciences, ICT, and culinary

arts, a 25-meter swimming pool, an indoor multipurpose and sports hall, and an auditorium that can hold 420 people. hence offering a supportive learning

atmosphere to pupils that encourages both an active and green lifestyle.

Sri Bestari International School started operations at its new location in 2019. The first class of Year 10 students at Sri Bestari International School will begin

instruction in September 2020, and they will graduate in 2022 after completing their IGCSE O'Levels.

8) Curriculum Planning and Implementation

8.1 Early Childhood Programme

The International Early Years Curriculum is designed for children ages 3 to 5 and emphasizes the development of a secure and happy learning environment

along with a strong foundation in writing and reading. Our teachers are dedicated to their own professional growth and are in charge of fostering each kid in their

care's acquisition of knowledge and skills. Every learning unit connects each of these four Learning Strands to pertinent and interesting activities that can be

customized and expanded to fit the needs of any learner. The ideal method to do assessments at this early developmental stage is through observation and

interactions; these should be ongoing and involve the kid and their parents. The perfect structure for recording observations made during a child's educational

journey is a learning journal.

8.3 Secondary school

As one of the top international school in Kuala Lumpur, Sri Bestari International School (SBIS) Secondary programme covers two key stages: Key Stage 3 (Year
7, Year 8 and Year 9) and Key Stage 4 (Year 10 and Year 11). Our aim at SBIS is to provide a holistic and balanced education across the stages, as mentioned
above within a conducive and stimulating environment.

Key Stage 3 students are consistently developing a strong foundation in core knowledge and skills to take the CIE Checkpoint Assessment at the end of Year 9
(English, Mathematics, Science and Global Perspectives) and to progress to Key Stage 4 learning journey subsequently.

At Key Stage 4, it is an essential learning journey for SBIS students to be well-prepared in their transitions into A-Level, Pre-University or Foundation courses
locally or internationally. Hence, SBIS Key Stage 4 programme strikes a balance between the curriculum and co-curricular to encourage the students to discover
and pursue their passions and realise their full potential by crafting their personalised pathway. At the end of Key Stage 4, SBIS students will be prepared for
the International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE). We give full commitment to ensuring
our students receive the best IGCSE programme.

9.2 School Displines and Rules

The purpose of the regulations is to guarantee that school rules are followed. Because of this, having a school disciplinary committee and rule book

establishes how moral principles should be applied and practiced, encouraging children to love learning and respect their teachers as well as having admirable

personalities. Based on non-abusive teaching, the committee determines suitable action to take against student misconduct and student penalties. This aids in the

coordination, instruction, and behaviour modification of high-risk kids, so assuring the smooth operation of all school programs and official events, including

assemblies and P&P.

10) Staff meetings

There will be staff meetings twice a week which is on Tuesdays and Thursday at 2.30 pm. In that meeting Deputy Principle will discuss about exam,

programme and etc

11) School Curriculum

Because it guarantees that the school's academic aims and objectives are met, the curriculum is rather simple. A conducive environment for teaching and

learning is guaranteed by the school curriculum. Additionally, it aims to raise the standard of instruction and learning in order to raise student performance. The

curriculum aids in course planning and provides academic staff and instructors with exposure to new developments in education. Additionally, it provides

teachers with reading materials and educational information. The curriculum analyzes the findings of internal exams and develops both short- and long-term

programs to address any shortcomings. Subsequently, the curriculum aids in the examination and assessment of the textbooks that students utilize to ascertain

their appropriateness for classroom instruction.

12) School Environment in regard to Teaching and Learning

The educational setting at the school is conducive to both teaching and learning. Based on my views, educators invest their time to making the

lessons as enjoyable as possible in order to help students prepare for exams. When it comes to instruction, teachers must recognize the demands of their students

because, on occasion, they have limited attention spans. As a result, they must devise strategies for grabbing their attention. Since the school's student population

is in the middle of the below-average and above-average range, the teacher will find ways to incorporate the students' opinions.

13) Infrastructure

Class : 3F Topic : Perimeter and Area ( Find perimeter of shapes)

Level : Primary 3 Skills : Measuring, calculating, and understanding the concept of

perimeter

Time : 40 minutes Date : 10/07/2024

Learning objective : By combining the lengths of their sides, students will be able to define and

compute the perimeter of simple 2D objects.

Previous knowledge : Students have basic knowledge of identifying 2D shapes such as squares,

rectangles, and triangles

Moral Values : Promoting perseverance, focus, and teamwork

Thinking skills : Analytical reasoning (figuring out how far something is around a

shape) and problem-solving (figuring out how different forms'

perimeters are).

Teaching Material : Rulers, shape cut-outs, grid paper, markers, whiteboard.

Reflection:

Students showed that they understood how to calculate perimeter by adding side lengths, which was a good way to teach the subject. While the majority of

students measured and computed shapes' perimeters accurately, a small number required assistance using the ruler correctly. Further practice using actual objects

could help to further solidify the idea.

Reflection:

Students rapidly understood the concept of counting squares and applying multiplication to get the area, indicating that the lesson effectively introduced the concept of area.

The majority of students did well, but a few required additional assistances to fully grasp the concept of applying multiplication to get the area of rectangles. Further courses

should clarify the subject even further by including more real-world examples.

Reflection:

This lesson plan lays a solid basis for students' geometric comprehension by covering the concepts of identifying, describing, categorizing, naming, and sketching

2D objects in addition to distinguishing between regular and irregular polygons. With a clear focus on improving spatial reasoning, the objectives equip students

with the knowledge and skills to identify and classify shapes based on their characteristics. This material is in line with the growth of critical thinking abilities in

geometry.

Engaging students requires the use of visual aids or hands-on activities. An interactive lesson can be created by using digital tools or physical models to

encourage students to actively apply and explore what they have learned. Through this interaction, students' grasp of shape attributes and the differences between

regular and irregular polygons—which lack congruent sides and angles—is deepened.

It is ensured that students with different abilities are supported through differentiation and scaffolding. Inclusive learning is promoted by giving struggling

students extra help and giving advanced students more difficult assignments. Furthermore, frequent evaluation and feedback enable the instructor to spot and

address any misconceptions, guaranteeing that the pupils are moving in the right direction.

Ultimately, the secret to creating better classes in the future is to reflect on pace and classroom management. Maintaining seamless transitions between tasks and

striking a balance between didactic explanations and practical application will support student engagement. The teacher can improve students' capacity to

confidently identify and sketch 2D objects while differentiating between regular and irregular polygons by continuously reflecting on and improving the method .
