NARRATIVE REPORT ON ORIENTATION OF PARENTS ON THE

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT BANGON Aral

The Parents’ Orientation for Project Bangon Aral was successfully

conducted on November 23, 2024 at Taliktik Integrated School, with the
primary goal of informing parents about the remedial measures to
address lost instructional time caused by recent typhoons. The orientation
was attended by parents, guardians, school administrators, and faculty
members, demonstrating a strong partnership between the school and the
community in ensuring the continuity of quality education for all students.

The session began with a prayer led by Sir Roldan Y. Soriano and
followed right away by a warm welcome from the Teacher In-Charge
Ma’am Vida Mae P. Seculles, who acknowledged the challenges brought
about by the recent calamities. She introduced Project Bangon Aral of the
regional office, a comprehensive program designed to replace the classes
that were missed due to the disruptions. The project reflects the
Department of Education’s commitment to recovering lost learning
opportunities and ensuring that students meet their academic goals for
the school year.

Ma’am Vida further provided detailed explanations of the schedules

for catch-up classes, which will be held in both the morning and afternoon
sessions to accommodate the academic needs of all students. These
sessions aim to provide ample time for students to review and catch up on
the lessons that were interrupted.

Additionally, it was announced that Saturday classes will be

conducted on December 7 and December 14, 2024. These additional
sessions will be structured to focus on the most critical learning
competencies, ensuring efficient use of the limited time available.

To formalize parental consent for these adjustments, waivers were

distributed during the orientation. Teachers explained the purpose of the
waiver, emphasizing that it ensures clear communication and agreement
between the school and parents regarding the additional sessions. Parents
were encouraged to review and sign the waiver to confirm their support
and understanding of the program.
An open forum was held after the presentation, allowing parents to
raise concerns and ask questions about the implementation of the catch-
up classes. Key points discussed included transportation arrangements for
students, provisions for learning materials, and the strategies to be
employed in delivering lessons effectively during the compressed
schedule. Teachers and administrators addressed these concerns,
reassuring parents of the school’s readiness and support for the program's
success.

The orientation ended on a positive note, with parents expressing

their gratitude for the school’s proactive measures to address the learning
gaps caused by the typhoons. The school administration reiterated its
appreciation for the parents' cooperation and commitment to their
children’s education. The active participation of parents and guardians
during the orientation underscores the community's shared goal of
helping students recover and excel despite the challenges.

With the collaborative efforts of the school, teachers, and parents,

Project Bangon Aral is poised to make a significant impact in ensuring that
students overcome academic setbacks and continue to thrive in their
educational journey.
