11. Any two practices for internet security are:
(i) Use Strong Passwords A strong password is a combination of alpha-numeric and special
characters. Do not use your mobile number, friends name, etc. for a password. Change your
password frequently at least once in 2 or 3 weeks.
(ii) Backup Your Data Always keep copies of your personal data in CDs, pendrive, etc This may be
helpful in a loss of data situation.

12. A template is a collection of styles that already has some formatting in place, such as fonts, logos
and line spacing and can be used as a starting point for almost anything that you want to create.
Microsoft Word offers hundreds of free templates, including invoices, resumes, invitations and form
letters, among others.

13. (i) PAN It stands for Personal Area Network. It is a computer network used for communication
among the computer and different technological devices close to it.
(ii) WiMAX It stands for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access. It is a wireless
transmission of data using a variety of transmission modes.

14. Hyperlinks can be stored within your file as either relative or absolute An absolute link will stop
working only if the target is moved A relative link will stop working only if the start and target
locations change relative to each other. For instance, if you have two spreadsheets in the same folder
linked to each other and you move the entire folder to a new location, a relative hyperlink will not
break but an absolute link will break.

15. Steps to insert a record in a Datasheet View are as follows:


(a) Step 1 When you create a table, a new blank record automatically appears in the second row of
the table.
(b) Step 2 If you enter data in the last record, a new blank record will automatically appear at the end
of the table.
(c) Step 3 Type data into the fields.
(d) Step 4 When you have finished adding records in the datasheet, save it and close it.

16. A field which uniquely identifies each record in a table known as primary key. It does not allow
null values whereas a foreign key is used to establish relationship between RDBMS.

17. To delete the unwanted style, Shaurya has to right- click on it in the Styles and Formatting
window and choose Delete on the pop-up menu. He has to confirm deleting the style by choosing yes
on the pop-up.
18. Sorting is a common spreadsheet task that allows user to easily re-order the data. The most
common type of sorting is alphabetical ordering which you can do in ascending or descending order
To use ascending or descending sort which depends on one column, follow the given steps:
Highlight the cells to be sorted, then select Data > Sort to open the Sort dialog, or click the Sort
Ascending or Sort Descending toolbar buttons. Using the dialog, you can sort the selected cells using
up to three columns, in either ascending (A-Z, 1-9) or descending (Z-A, 9-1) order.

20. (i) A Personal Area Network (PAN) is a computer network for interconnecting electronic devices
within an individual person's workspace.
(ii) A Wide Area Network (WAN) is the one which covers a broad area. It consists of two or more
local area networks. A WAN is used by government organisations and businesses.
(iii) A Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) is a computer network in which two or more computers
which are geographically distributed but in the same metropolitan city are connected. Its geographic
scope falls between a WAN and LAN
(iv) Disadvantage of LAN: Even though LAN saves a lot of money in terms of resource sharing, the
initial cost involved in setting up the network is quite high Disadvantage of WAN. It is difficult to
maintain the WAN network. It requires skilled technicians and network administrators.

21. (i) Entity Integrity It defines the primary key of a table. Entity integrity rule on a column does not
allow duplicate and null values.
(ii) Domain Integrity It defines the type, range and format of data allowed in a column Domain
integrity states that all values in a column must be of same type
(iii) Referential Integrity defines the foreign key concepts. Referential integrity ensures that data in
related tables remains accurate and consistent before and after changes.
(iv) User Defined Integrity If there are some business requirements which do not fit any above data
integrity then user can create own integrity, which is called user defined integrity.
