the gaming industry to differentiate between structured and unstructured data.
1. Structured Data: In Riot Games, an example of structured data is a database containing
information about player accounts. This data has a clear structure and is organized into
fields such as player name, email address, password, total spending in the game, etc.
Each field has a specific data type and defined rules to ensure consistency and accuracy
of the data.
Example: The "PlayerAccount" table in the database may contain columns such as "PlayerID"
(integer data type), "Username" (string data type), "Email" (string data type), "Password" (string
data type), "TotalSpent" (floating-point data type), etc.
2. Unstructured Data: An example of unstructured data in Riot Games could be data
collected from the game League of Legends, such as match histories and match results.
This data is non-fixed, lacks a clear structure, and can vary from match to match. It may
include information about events occurring in the match, data about characters, event
timestamps, etc.
Example: Data collected from a match could include information like "PlayerID" (integer data
type), "MatchID" (integer data type), "EventTime" (time data type), "EventType" (string data
type), "ChampionUsed" (string data type), etc.
Both structured and unstructured data are important in the gaming industry. Structured data is
used for managing personal information, player accounts, and other player-related information.
On the other hand, unstructured data is used for analysis, building recognition systems, and
optimizing the gaming experience.

+ The "Country" column lists the countries where the company is providing products.
+ The "Product" can represent the offerings or solutions provided by Riot Games, such as
industrial robots, power equipment, automation systems, etc..
+ The "Sales " would indicate the quantity of products sold or services rendered by Riot Games.
+ The "Profit" This refers to the financial gain resulting from the sales, representing the revenue
generated by Riot Games's business activities.
+ The "Date", "Month", and "Year" columns provide specific timing information for each
category.
Data Preprocessing
You can choose to load or transform data in the Navigator. With numeric data types shown in
italics, it provides a preview of the data to verify its accuracy. I'll choose to convert the data
before loading it. The purpose of this step is to improve visualization readability in the future.
Every change that is done is noted in the Applied Steps section's list under Query Settings.
I can right-click on the "Segment" column, choose Transform, and then select UPPERCASE.
Lastly, I return to the Home tab and choose Close &; Apply. My data is nearly prepared for
creating a report.
Data Analysis
- Select the text you typed. Set the Font Size to 32 and Font Family to Times New Roman.
Now, you create a line chart to see which month and year had the highest profit.
- From the Visualizations pane, click to the "Line and clustered colum chart" icon, then a "Line
and clustered colum chart" will be displayed in a blank area on the report canvas.
Click "Line chart", from the Data pane, drag Drag the Date field to the X- axis and the Profit
field to the Y-axis.
- In the Fields section of the Visualizations pane, select the drop-down in the X-axis value.
Change Date from Date Hierarchy to Date.
- Power BI updates the line chart to show profit for each month.
Now you can easily see that December 2022-2023 had the most profit.
- From the Visualizations pane, click to the "Map" icon, then a "Map" will be displayed in a
blank area on the report canvas.
Click "Map" on the report canvas, from the Data pane, drag the Country field to the Location and
the Profit field to the Bubble size in Visualizations pane.
Power BI creates a visual map with bubbles representing the relative profit of each location.
