CONTENTS
Course Objectives: This course will enable students to:
1. Explain various biasing circuits used to bias the BJT.
2. Study and analyze transistor amplifiers circuits.
3. Explain various types of MOSFET biasing and construct MOSFET amplifier circuits.
4. Construct frequency response of MOSFET amplifiers and Oscillator circuits.
5. Analyze Power amplifier circuits in different modes of operation.
6. Construct OP-Amp circuits with Negative Feedback and general applications of Op-Amp.
Pre-requisites:
Students must have exposure to basics of BJT, MOSFET biasing parameters, connections and
configurations and OP-Amp.
Linkages with other Courses:
1. Basic electronics.
2. Power Electronics and Instrumentation.
3. Network Theory
4. Mathematics.

1. Students should have the knowledge of pre-requisite
2. Students should complete all assignments in a time bound manner
Rules for assignments: Assignments in the form of question answers/quiz/presentation/open ended
questions/poster presentation/laboratory based learning and seminars will be given and students have
to submit the same before last date.
Assignment Grading System
Each assignment will be evaluated for 10 marks and final score for assignment will be the average
marks scored in all the assignments.
CIE and Semester End Examinations: As per the VTU regulations.
