The JGD SCU is a series of synchronous controller equipment in the basic
of the single-type SCU. The inside is full digital designed with the computer as
the center. Each controller can control the operation of 4 or 8 machines at the
same time, which is very flexible and easy. JGD series have good functions,
and the technology is in the advanced level in China. And in the capability the
JGD series can compare beauty with the products of the same kind abroad. It
can be widely used in all kinds of machine equipments combined by several
timing systems in the industries such as the electric power, the steel, the paper
making, the cottoncracy, the printing and dyeing, the cable and optical fiber and
the plastics. It can control the furl speed, the displacement, the strain and the
distance, which is the best choice in the machine equipments.

Controller series number

1. The main characters

A. digitization
The JGD series controller is controlled by one-chip computer which
can set many parameters of the controller. And the parameters can be
displayed in number. The controller has memory bank inside and it
will automatically remain the parameters the user sets after power off.
B. powerful functions
1) The JGD series controller each has three set output styles (inside
set, out voltage set and out electrical current set).
2) The JGD-240 controller each can control 4 single units which have
four routes output (V01-V04). And the JGD-280 controller each
can control 8 single units which have eight routes output
(V01-V08).
3) The output of one controlling unit can be the input of other
controlling units (the units can be used in series or in parallel
connection). One controller can be used as 2 or 3 controllers.
4) It has the functions of start up and stop gradually, and the time can
be reset (0~100s).
5) It has the failure-alerting and start-up signal relay output, and the
driving power can reach to 5A.
C. high precision

2
The output and input simulation signal of the series controller
adopts the A/D and D/A transducers with high resolution ratio, and the
resolution ratio can reach to 0.1%.
D. versatility
The out set input adopts the normal 0~10V or 4~20mA, the
controlling output is 0~10V, and it can be matched to kinds of machine
timing controller.
It has the peculiar feedback signal and offset △f controlling style.
Through the external resistance it can make kinds of transducers of
voltage output and current output compatible.
E. convenient use
1) The user can modify the controlling parameters when the controller
is in the operating state, which is very convenient for the user to
debug the facilities.
2) It has the function of locking the set parameters, which will prevent
the other to modify privately.
3) It has fewer wires outside, which is convenient for the user’s
designing and debugging the facilities. It will save lots of
manpower, material resources and financial resources.
F. safe working
The JGD series SCU is designed and made at pains. The working
power inside is switching power which has better interference killing
feature, and the range of working voltage is wide. We can assure that it
can work normally in the place where the waving range of the electric net
voltage is wide. Its working voltage is 150~300VAC.
2. the main qualifications
A. the controlling voltage output
• Output voltage resolution ratio 0.01V
• Output voltage drive power ≤ 5mA
• Output voltage stability ≤ 0.2%
B. the set and feedback signal input
• the set and feedback signal input resolution ratio 0.01V
• the out set voltage input precision ≤ 0.4%
• the feedback voltage input precision ≤ 5± 0.01V
C. the inside power output load capacity
• +24V power max output current ≤ 500mA
• +10V power max output current ≤ 10mA
• ±5V power max output current ≤ 100mA
3. service conditions
working voltage (alternating current): 220V ± 30% 50~60Hz
working environment humidity: 0~50°C
relative environment humidity: < 90% no dew

3
altitude height: < 1000m
There is no etchant gas, mill dust or highly flammable and explosive
dangerous goods around.

II. the main functions of structures

It has practical functions and better interference killing feature, and it is
stable and credible. The following are its features:
∗ The facility is made up of 8 units, one route is inside main set, the
second route is outside main set, and the eighth route is feedback set. The
feedback uses ±5V inside power.
∗ The inside main set GD can be adjusted by the keys UP and DOWN.
∗ The facility provides one absolute +24V/0.5A direct current.
The system is made up by the following parts:
1. the power
Switch the 220V alternating current to the following direct current
power:
±5V/200mA: +10V/10mA; +24V/0.5A. And the +24V is an
isolating power.
2. the main set part
The controller has three isolating main set fountain inside, and the user
can choose freely as he likes.
The inside main set GD: The range of the inside main set GD is
0.00~10.00, and the resolution ratio is 0.01. The value of the function
code F34 on the synchronous controller unit is assigned to GD, that is to
say the initial value of GD when start up is F34. After using the UP
and DOWN tops, G0 changes, and the changed value of GD will be
missing when the synchronous adjuster is power off. When the
machine starts up next it will still use the initial value F34. As the
parameter F34 will not change as the running of the UP and DOWN tops.
F34 must be reset through the parameter-set style, and its value can be
remaining when power off. As soon as the F34 is reset through the
parameter-set successfully it will assign the value to GD.
The outside main set 1 G1: The out set is input through the 9# and
8# tops. There are two ways to input the set: 0~10VDC and 4~20mA.
The two ways can be chosen by the function code F33.
The outside main set 2 G2: The outside main set 2 is input
through the 10# and 11# tops with the signal 0~10VDC.
3. the upper and lower bound transaction of the main set (cloth-worn
function)
Gi’= Glower limit when Gi < Glower limit
Gi’= Gi when Glower limit < Gi < G upper limit
Gi’= G upper limit when Gi>G upper limit

4
After the upper and lower bound transaction of the main set, Gi’will
be bounded by the set lower limit and set upper limit.
4. the ascending and descending time transaction of the speed
After the ascending and descending time transaction of the speed, the
change slope of Gi’will be limited by the ascending slope(10.00/TUP) and
the descending slope(10.00/TDOWN).
5. the units parts
There are 8 isolating units in the controller, and the following are the
functions:
Vi = Si * KSi + Fi * KFi
In the formula:
1) Vi is the output of the i unit, and the range is : 0~10V.
2) Si is the unit set of the i unit, and the input source is chosen by the
function code.
3) KSi is the set proportion of the i unit, and it is set by the function code
(the range: 0.00~15.00).

VIII. the multistation connection and the notice

When there are more than 8 JGD-280 synchronous controllers, the user
can connect them together. If there N controllers, they are called number
1~N synchronous controllers. So we can choose any unit of the 1st controller
to control the main machine. The output of this unit woks as the main set of
the 2nd controller to connect to the out main set I or out main set II to the 2nd
controller. Now the proportion coefficient should be set to 1.00 and this unit
has no feedback.
Explanations:
This example chooses JGD280 and JGD240 controller to connect
together. And there are at most 11 machines in this kind of connection.
JGD280 is regarded as the 1st controller and JGD240 is regarded as the 2nd
controller. The first unit of the 1st controller controls the main machine and
at the same time this unit output works as the outside set input of the next
lower level synchronous controller. The input fountain of the first unit of the
1st controller is set to 9(outside set I), and the output proportion coefficient is
set to 1.00. That is to say the input voltage of the out set I of the 1st
controller transfers to the 2nd controller as the out set of it. By analogy,
multistation of the controller can be connected.
Notice:
The first unit of the other controllers are not used to control the
machine generally except the first unit of the 1st controller. Otherwise the
input voltage and the rev of the machine controlled will be the same with the
mainframe.

2. the feedback upper and lower limits do not work in the following
situations:
1) The system does not start up;
2) The feedback is set to F;
3) The feedback upper limit does not work when it is set to +5V;
4) The feedback lower limit does not work when it is set to −5V;
5) The main set is set to 0.00V.
3. alerting display
If the nixie tube displays Er88, the first two stand for alerting, and the third
stands for the unit number of the concrete failure. The upper of the fourth
displays  which shows the upper limit alerts. The lower of it displays 
which shows the lower limit alerts.

14
4. unload the alerting
1) Press the RESET key;
2) Make a short circuit of the out tops 4# and 5#.
5. the feedback alerting time set:
The feedback alerting delaying 0~50 is about 1 second, and when the set is
000 the feedback alerting has no time lag.
6. passwords set:
1) Press the ENTER key to display P000, press it again to display F00,
2) Press ∆ and ∇ until it displays F61, and press ENTER to display P000,
3) Press ∆ and the number will increase. Stop until the number you want
to set.
4) Press ENTER and the passwords are set.
If you do not use the passwords, set F61 to 000.
Special cue: If you have set the passwords, please commit it to your
memory.
7. unfold the passwords
Press ENTER to display P000, and press ∆ to display the set
passwords. Press ENTER to display F01 and the passwords have been
unfolded.
Universal passwords: 992
Good cue: Do not tell the universal passwords to anyone.

X. the failure overhaul and the maintenance

The user must follow the working conditions and methods of the
instructions to operate the JGD series controller. The controller is
guaranteed 1 year from the date the user buys.
In the course of normal working state, if the controller is out of the
way, please refer to the following list to estimate the failure reason and
rectify the trouble. If the trouble can not be rectified following the list,
contact our company or the dealer.
