Thermo Scientific Multiskan FC
Step Action
1 Unpack the Multiskan FC instrument and remove the transport lock.
2 Install the filter wheel.
3 Connect the mains cable to the mains supply connector and plug in the
instrument.
4 If the printer is used, connect the external printer to the USB port for the
printer.
5 I/O Switch ON the instrument and wait for the self diagnostics to complete.
6 Select a protocol. Press the OK button on the Protocol row in the Main
menu. Select the ready-made protocol using the Down arrow key and then
press the OK button.
7 Place the microplate into the plate carrier with the A1 corner positioned in
the top left corner of the plate carrier. Press the START button. Enter the
number of unknowns to be measured. Press the OK or the START button to
start the measurement. The instrument then measures the plate. Press the
F2 key to close the active result view.
8 Print the results if necessary. Press the FILE key in the Results menu and
select Print Results using the Down arrow key, and then press the OK
button. Select the items to be printed using the arrow keys and the OK
button. Press the F1 key to accept the selection and to start printing.
9 Export data if necessary. Insert the USB memory stick into the USB memory
stick position. Press the FILE key in the Results menu and select Export
Results As Text, and then press the OK button. Select the items to be
exported using the arrow keys and the OK button. Press the F1 key to
accept the selection and to start exporting.
10 Go back to the Main menu pressing the Left arrow key twice.
11 I/O Shut down and power OFF the instrument.
