Statement of the Problem
Generally, this research will focus on identifying the Effective
Communication through Non-Verbal Platform among Teaching and Non-Teaching
Staff of Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. Senior High School.
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 3
Specifically, this will determine the following:
1. What are the non-verbal platforms of communication?
2. What are the ways that show negligence to the importance of
communication through non-verbal platforms?
3.What is effective communication through non-verbal platforms?

Theoretical Framework
A theoretical framework consists of concepts and, together with their definitions and
reference to relevant scholarly literature, existing theory that is used for your study.
The theoretical framework must demonstrate an understanding of theories and
concepts that are relevant to the topic of your research paper and that relate to the
broader areas of knowledge being considered. (libguides.usc.edu/, 2023)

Figure 1.1. presents the conceptual framework of this research using the
Input-Process-Output (IPO) model. The input indicates the problems or tasks that
will be solved in this study. The process shows how the problems or tasks will be
solved. In the output, this will indicate the solution or completed tasks of the
research. (Cabrera, 2020)
In the context of this research, the tasks are the following: 5

Definition of Terms
The following terms are defined according to concept and operation:
Awareness. It is the quality or state of being aware: knowledge and understanding
that something is happening or exists. In the context of this study, ‘awareness’
pertains to the level of information obtained by online distance learning students on
Data Privacy Act.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES
(thematic)
This chapter presents the literature and studies after thorough and in-depth
search done by the researchers and synthesis of the studies on the enrichment of the
preparation of construction of learning materials. The related literature provides the
necessary ideas and concepts that served as guide in conducting the present study.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the research design, sampling procedure, data collection
procedure, and ethical issues, plan for data analysis and other procedures in gathering
the data needed to answer the problems were used by the researcher.
Research Design
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 9
Discuss that the study will utilize Qualitative Research Design. Specifically,
Phenomenological Research ---- Define Qualitative Research and
Phenomenological Research. Always observe proper in-text and bibliographical citation. – in all parts
of your paper.
Sampling Technique
Discuss that the study will utilize Non-Probability Sampling. Specifically,
Convenience Sampling ---- Define the two terms.
Moreover, mention who will be your participants – their characteristics.
Data Gathering Procedure
Discuss that the study will utilize Interview for data collection – define.
Upon the approval of the research topic, the researchers will present a
consent form to ask approval of the selected individuals to serve as participants of
the proponents’ study. Approved ‘unstructured’ interview questions will be given
through Google meet/ individual face-to-face dialogue between a researcher and a
participant. The instrument will contain questions which will answer the main
objectives of the study. The researchers will follow the steps prior to actual data
gathering.
First the instrument will undergo to content validation. The researcher will
seek for consult for the approval, the proponents will introduce themselves and gave
adequate explanation of the main objectives of their study. Meanwhile, there will be
revisions to be made on the research instrument. Upon establishing the validity of the
instrument, it will be ready for the administration. Moreover, the data onto this
research will be compose by means of research interview. The researcher will assure
that it will be conducted in their vacant time to avoid disruptions of their schedules.
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 10
They will be given correct and complete instructions as to how are they going to
respond on the interview questions. Each participant will be asked four questions
during the interview.
Below are the Guide Questions to be used in the mediated approach interview:
SOP 1. What is the role of Facebook in promoting political views of
different people?
1. What kind of political advertisement or political perspectives do you see
when you scroll on Facebook?
2. To whom profile or pages do you often see these political advertisement or
political perspectives in Facebook?
3. Describe how these political advertisements or political perspectives you
see in Facebook affects you in any way?
SOP 2. How do the participants filter the opinion of those random
individuals that express their political views on Facebook?
1. How do you converse on political conversation when you see one as you
scroll on Facebook?
2. Describe how intense does every political conversation you had with in
Facebook?
3. Do you always agree or disagree on the political views of others when you
see one in Facebook? Elaborate.
SOP 3. How does Facebook affect the political views of the participants?
1. Describe how emotional it was every time you had a political conversation
in Facebook.
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 11
2. What are the disadvantages of Facebook in influencing the political views
of students?
3. What compendium of stories can be compiled every time you had a
political conversation in Facebook?
The participants will be given enough time to respond to the questions and
after this, the researchers will gather all the answers the respondents will provide to
them. The researchers will see to it that all of the questions will be answered out
correctly and completely to avoid rejection of data. Once all the participants
completely answered the questions, the researchers will treat confidentially the data
gathered. The data collected using the research instrument will be extremely vital to
the case study being conducted.
Ethical Consideration
Ethical considerations will be taken into account throughout this paper. The
interview was participated in voluntarily by the respondents focusing on the
influence of Facebook to their political views. The consent of the respondents will be
asking by the researcher explaining to them the importance/significance and
objectives of the study. Moreover, the data and information gathered will be keep in
confidentiality. The works of researchers of other authors will be properly
recognized.
Data Analysis Technique
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 12
As to the treatment and analysis of data, the researcher decided to construct
the framework of this study based on (Lichtman, 2013)’s three Cs method (the three
Cs refers to Coding, Categories, and Concepts). According to Lichtman's guidelines,
there are six measures to take:
Step 1. Initial Coding. Going from responses to summary ideas of the
responses
Step 2. Revisiting initial coding
Step 3. Developing an initial list of categories
Step 4. Modifying initial list based on additional rereading
Step 5. Revisiting your categories and subcategories
Step 6. Moving from categories to concepts.
Moreover, the researchers also used (Moustakas, 1994) method as discussed
by (Creswell, 2007) since it has orderly steps in the data analysis and procedures and
guidelines for assembling the textural and structural descriptions. The first step to
consider will be bracketing in which the researcher set aside all preconceived
experiences and the researcher had to understand the perceptions of participants in
the study. After conducting interviews through the use of interview questions, the
researcher will proceed with horizontalization, by which data were built from the
central questions as well as probing questions by going through them highlighting
significant statements about the influence of Facebook to the political views of
Senior High School students. Then, the researcher will develop meaning clusters
from these significant statements into themes which were to compare a textural
description of what the participants’ perspectives. Finally, data derived from the
interview questions will be interpreted utilizing the insights and opinions by the
LYFJSHS |Practical Research 1|Qualitative Research 13
respondents answering the statements of the problem and the questionnaire’s
essential questions.
