Student Innovation

Problem Statement ID 1537

Problem Statement Title Student Innovation

Theme MedTech / BioTech / HealthTech

PS Category Hardware

Team ID

Team Name Hackernauts

Student Innovation : HealthTech

Proposed Solution:
Overview: Develop a comprehensive health
monitoring system using a wearable device
and AI for real-time insights.

Key Features:
Real-Time Health Insights & Alerts : AI
model analyzes real-time data and alerts
on anomalies
Emergency Response: In case of critical
health anomalies, the system sends
emergency alerts to both the user and their
healthcare provider.
Fall detection -The wearable device
continuously monitors the user's health
Client and healthcare providers (HCP) app
allows healthcare providers to monitor
patient data and receive alerts.

2
TECHNICAL APPROACH
Technologies to be Used:
Arduino: ESP 32 / ESP8266, MAX30102, ADXL345
Deep Learning Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch.
Backend: Python, Flask/Django for API handling.
Frontend: React.js or Flutter for the user and hcp interface.
Database: PostgreSQL or MongoDB for storing user data and query
logs.

Methodology:
Step 1: Focus on real-time monitoring of pulse rate and SpO2 with
anomaly detection.
Step 2: Choose the MAX30102, ADXL345 sensor and ESP8266
microcontroller.
Step 3: Integrate the sensor with the microcontroller for reliable
data capture.
Step 4: Use the MAX30100.h library and code the ESP8266 for data
processing.
Step 5: Use Firebase to store and manage real-time data.
Step 6: Build an anomaly detection model with historical data.
Step 7: Test the device, analyze performance, and refine as needed.

3
FEASIBILITY AND VIABILITY
Mitigation Strategies:
Feasibility Analysis: Data Privacy: Implement robust
Technical Feasibility: The solution utilizes encryption and access control measures.
widely adopted, open-source Scalability: Use load balancing and
technologies ensuring availability and cloud-based infrastructure to handle
community support. user load.
Low Price: The wearable device can be
manufactured at low cost.

Potential Challenges and Risks:

Data Privacy: Ensuring user data privacy
and security.
Scalability: Maintaining performance as
the number of users increases.
Battery : Wearable device should have
sufficient battery life and easy to
maintain.
ML : The AI model must accurately
analyze data and predict health issues.
