Remedial Reading Program

1. This memorandum serves to notify all teachers about the ongoing Remedial Reading
Program in our school. The program is designed to assist non-readers and frustration readers,
with the goal of improving their literacy skills and enhancing their overall academic
achievement. Officially, the initiative is titled PROJECT LEAD (Literacy Enhancement and
Achievement Program).
2. The objectives of the program are as follows:
a. To enhance literacy skills: Provide targeted interventions to improve reading fluency and
comprehension.
b. To foster a love for reading: Encourage students to develop a positive attitude towards
reading through engaging activities.
c. To individualize support: Offer small group and one-on-one sessions to cater to the specific
needs of students.
d. To monitor progress: Regularly evaluate students’ reading levels and adjust interventions as
needed.
3. Enclosed are the details, including the list of students, tutors, assigned teachers, schedule, and
the TWG.
Your active involvement and support in the implementation of this program are essential. For
any questions or concerns, please coordinate with the English Department and Reading
coordinators.
