Part four: Shortcut option
• New- is used to create New File. Shortcut for this option is CTRL+N.
• Open- is used to open previously saved Document for Reading or
modifying. Shortcut for this option is CTRL+O.
• Save- is used to save current document so that it can be accessed
later or changes we made can be saved. Shortcut for this option is
CTRL+S.
• Print- is used to print a current document. Shortcut for print
command is CTRL+P.
• Exit-is used to terminate notepad. Shortcut for this command is
ALT+F4.
• Undo- is used to cancel your last action within a program. Shortcut
for this command is CTRL+Z.
• Cut- is used to move a selected text. Shortcut for this command is
CTRL+X.
• Copy- is used to copy a selected text from one place to another.
While using copy original text remains at its place. Shortcut for this
command is CTRL+C.
• Paste- is used to insert previously copied/cut text at cursor point.
Shortcut for this command is CTRL+V.
• Delete- is used to remove selected text from a document. Such
action can be undone. Shortcut for Delete command is Del +key of
keyboard.
• Find- is used to search a term within a document. Shortcut for this
option is CTRL+F
• Replace-is used to alter text within a document. Shortcut for
command is CTRL+H.
• Go To- is used to go a particular line number. Shortcut for this
command is CTRL+G.
• Select All- is used to high-light a whole document. Shortcut for this
option is CTRL+A.
• Time/Date- this option is for inserting current date and time in a
document. Shortcut for this option is F5 key. This is a static value.
