v) It reduces the need for fresh raw materials, thereby preserving the Earth’s natural
resources for future use.
b) Mention the measures to be taken to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
Ans. To prevent the spread of the communicable diseases, we should:
i) Use handkerchief to cover our mouth and nose while sneezing.
ii) Avoid sharing the handkerchief, towel, food, etc., with the sick person,
iii) Always boil water and then store in clean containers to be used for drinking and
cooking purpose.
iv) Always keep food covered to prevent the flies from sitting and contaminating it.
v) Avoid eating the food from shops or street vendors.
vi) Clean homes regularly with disinfectants. Never allow water to get collected in any
nearby area.
