Design and Construction of a Smart Attendance System Using RFID for Academic
Use
This system automates attendance tracking in academic institutions using RFID (Radio
Frequency Identification) technology. Each student is assigned an RFID card, which they scan
on an RFID reader. The system records attendance in real-time and stores the data in a database
for easy access and management.
The System:
Components Needed:
Microcontroller: Arduino or Raspberry Pi for processing RFID data and interfacing with
the database.
RFID Reader Module: Reads unique IDs from student RFID cards. Common models
include RC522.
RFID Cards: Assigned to students with unique identification numbers.
Database System: Stores attendance records
LCD or OLED Display: Displays attendance confirmation or system status.
Buzzer or LED Indicators: Provides visual or audio feedback for successful scans.
Power Supply: Battery or AC adapter for the system.
Software Interface: Mobile or web application for attendance tracking and reporting.
Working Principle
This system is designed to automatically dispense food for pets at scheduled intervals or based
on their feeding habits. It uses sensors to monitor food levels and consumption, ensuring the
right amount of food is dispensed. The feeder can be controlled and monitored remotely via a
smartphone app or manual settings.
This system:
Automates feeding for pets, reducing the need for constant supervision.
Monitors food levels and ensures consistent feeding schedules.
Suitable for various types of pets, such as cats, dogs, and birds.
Provides convenience for pet owners, especially during busy schedules or travel.
Ensures pets are fed on time and in the correct portions, promoting their health.
Reduces food wastage and overfeeding.
Components Needed:
Working Principle:
This self-automated pet feeder simplifies pet care, providing convenience for owners while
ensuring their pets are well-fed and healthy.
