MPPM PROGRAM
Group Assignment 2 Practical on Microsoft Project
I. Objective
This assignment familiarizes you with the project management software Microsoft
Project. You will manage a multi-phase multi-task project as described below. You will
learn how to create graphic output about your project, and learn how to read information
produced by Microsoft Project. Below is a detailed procedure to accomplish this
assignment.
II. Implementation Procedure
1. Use your PC as your work place. Remember to backup your work in case
there is a system crash or an unexpected disk error.
2. Log into your system, then click Program | Microsoft Project to trigger the
software. Click off the tutorial dialog, if it pops up on your screen. Then, click Project |
Project Information to set the
 Project beginning date is January 1, 2022.
 Name of the project is your Group Name and Number followed by
Project (as Group 1 Project).
 Name of Project Manager is your Group Representative (if no, please
nominate your representatives)
3. Nonworking Days are January 20 and 21/2022.
4. Enter the following 3-phase System Analysis project into your worksheet. Do not
change any default assumptions in the system, except the project beginning date.
Click View | Gantt Chart to enter the follow information:

III. Deliverables
1. After you have successfully entered the above data, save your project under the name Project
Assignment – Group 1(if you are Group 1, Project Assignment – Group 2, if you are
Group 2..)
2. Collect the following information about your Project and Save with in one Folder Named by
your project (Project Assignment – Group 1, …)
a. Project information (Statistics) – Copy and paste on word document.
b. Produce a Critical Path Report for your project .
c. List all critical tasks on the critical path.
d. Show the following report about your project:
i. resource sheet,
ii. Resource usage,
iii. Task Usage,
iv. project summary,
v. Budget summary,
vi. “Who did what?” report,
vii. Working Days report.
