Ma’am.
I will group you in four groups.

Let’s have an Activity First.

Directions: Supply the column for each

row with your answer based in the given
figure below.
\

Questions:
1. What can you say about their
corresponding sides?
2. What can you say about their
corresponding angles?
3. Are the two triangles congruent?
Why or why not?

How did you find the preceding

activities? Is it hard or easy? Are you
ready to learn about the new lesson
CPCTC?

C. Presenting
examples/ instances
of the new lesson.
CPCTC is an acronym that stands for
Corresponding Parts of Congruent
Triangle are Congruent.

This means that if we can prove that two

triangles are congruent then all their
corresponding angles and sides are
equal.

We had observed in activity that the two

triangles with their corresponding pairs
of sides and angles are equal, therefore
we can say that the two triangles are
congruent. Similarly, you were able to
investigate the two triangles and find
their corresponding sides and angles
with equal length of sides and equal
measures of angles.
Corresponding sides and angles are
a pair of matching angles or sides that
are in the same spot in two different
shapes.

Remember,
Remember, corresponding of congruent
triangles are congruent (CPCTC),
congruence denoted in symbol “≅” and
correspondence denoted in symbol “
”.

By definition, two triangles are congruent

if their vertices can be paired so that
corresponding sides are congruent and
corresponding angles are congruent.
