team that consists of committed educators, support staff, mentors & Board of Advisors elected
by parents.

As a comprehensive and diverse school, our purpose is to deliver education that inspires,
engage and develop an African child to become a global citizen. To achieve our purpose, we
have created a pleasant, respectful and supportive learning environment that encourages
learners to ignite their senses of curiosity and provide opportunities that would help them
thrive in everything they endeavour.

What makes a successful learner? is their ability to innovate, communicate, solve problems,
think critically, collaborate, co-operate, take risks, work independently and adapt. Our
academic excellence is influenced by the school values and practices that serves as foundation
to everything we do. Above all, we constantly research and review strategies and tools around
the world to improve our curriculum. We also create a platform where parents and
communities share their input.
Our Philosophy and Purpose
As an educational institution that inspires an African child to become a global citizen, the
philosophy of ubuntu – the “I am because you are’ that is at the central heart of an African
way of life influence our way as Africans. In a world that is evolving & becoming competitive
by the moment, It is imperative that learners not only learn skills that will enable them to
perform or secure future jobs, They should also understand their cultural heritage and
values to navigate their way to the world stage with pride & honour.

respect, compassionate & caring for one another among people from all walks of life,
irrespective of race, colour, religion, background and place of origin. We continuously
encourage learners to believe in themselves and work hard to achieve all their personal
goals in life. Our inspiration derives from the slogan: I CAN, I WILL & I MUST.

In alignment with our values, we follow a robust educational model, which we call “school
for life,” The model shifts the goal of schooling away from the achievement of standardized
learning outcomes towards making a positive impact on the economic and social well-being
of students and their communities. Our type of education which are routinely cut from
traditional school budget are the crux of Addnum Education.

Our Practical life skills components horns on skills and attitudes such as confidence,
responsible, co-operation, risk taking, adaptability and resilience are infused into our
personal development program. Other qualities such as critical thinking, problem solving,
communication, collaboration & innovation are the skills that gives Addnum a competitive
edge in the academic sphere.

Through this unique combination of relevant content, learners will develop a body of
knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable them to succeed and thrive in any life
situation. It is the goal of Addnum to inspire an African child to dream big & create the
future they aspire to become in the long run.

In addition, we offer programs that cater to students' unique interests and abilities. These programs
provide opportunities for advanced learning, enrichment, or additional support, ensuring that every
student is challenged and supported at their appropriate level.

Evaluation and Grading:

➢ To measure students' progress and understanding, we employ a variety of evaluation methods.
These include class participation, quizzes, tests, projects, presentations, and assignments. The
grading system is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of students' knowledge and
skills.
Report Cards and Progress Reports:
➢ We believe in maintaining regular communication with parents regarding their child's academic
performance and overall development. Report cards will be sent home at the end of each term,
providing a comprehensive summary of the student's progress and grades. Progress reports may be
sent home at midpoint intervals during the semester to inform parents about their child's
performance.
