AFFIDAVIT

I, __________________________________, holding student ID ___________________, and


currently enrolled in the Introduction to Information Security course, hereby solemnly affirm
and declare as follows:
o I understand that the Introduction to Information Security course is purely for
educational and learning purposes.
o The knowledge and skills acquired during this course are to be used solely for
educational and ethical practices, without any malicious intent or application.
o I acknowledge that practicing Introduction to Information Security concepts requires a
controlled and isolated environment. To this end, I will utilize tools such as:
 VirtualBox, VMware Workstation/Player, Hyper-V (Windows) or similar
virtualization software for Operating Systems like Kali Linux, Parrot OS, etc.
 A local network setup at home, created with tools such as an IPTime switch and
various connected devices, strictly for educational practice purposes.
o I understand and accept that no instructor, educational institution, or third party involved
in the course is responsible for any activity I perform using the knowledge gained from
this course.
o I take full responsibility for my actions and commit to using the skills learned
exclusively for ethical and lawful purposes.
o I agree not to use the knowledge or tools gained from this course to engage in
unauthorized or illegal activities, including but not limited to hacking into systems,
stealing data, or compromising security protocols without prior consent.
o I am fully aware of the legal and ethical implications of misusing the knowledge
acquired from this course. I commit to adhering to all applicable laws and ethical
