Scoring: The score is the distance between the take-off line and the nearest point
where any part of the student's body touches the floor. It is measured in
feet and inches to the nearest inch. Only the best trial is recorded.
(c) Partial curl up:
Purpose: Strength in Abdomen and core muscles.
Equipment: Mat, Assistant, stop watch.
Procedure:

Procedure:
Assume a face down prone position on the floor. Keep your feet together, You
weight should be on your chest, hands width apart, elbows straight, palms
down the floor. Curl your toes upward. Now drop the hips untill the
shoulders, hips and knees are in a straight line. Elbow bent at 90 push
back to starting position. This completes one push up.
Scong: Number ofpush ups one can perform. one point is given each time when
subject completes a push up.
(e) Modiñed Push ups (girls)
Purpose: to develop strength in arms and chest
Equipment: stop watch
Procedure:
As you lower yourself, tuck your elbows,
pulling them close to your body so that
your upper arm form a 45° angle when your torso is in bottom position of
the move. Pause then
push back to starting position as quickly as possible
(knees on the ground).
Scoring: One point is given each time when the subject completes a modified
push up. One trial is also permitted.

Harrold M. barrow examined the general motor fitness of
college men and declared
the norms for grading the individual. The three test item
included a r e :
(a) Zig-Zag run
(b) Standing broad jump.
(c) Medicine ball throw
(a) Zig-Zag run:
Purpose: To
test power, speed, quickness and body control in multiple planes or
movement. The test also assess lower
extremity control.
Eguipment: Measuring tape, two stop watches, five cones
Procedure:
(i) Set up the path, which is 3 by 4.85m and marked
with coloured tape
on the floor, and
place cones in every corner.
(ii) Subject stands behind starting line. On the signal
start
"Ready go" the subject
running in
zig-zag way.
(iii) The subject runs one lap as fast as possible around the zig-zag pa
(iv) If the subject does not round all cones in
completing the one full lap»
require him/her to rest and then Retest is done.
() Record the time to perform one full lap around the path to the
tenth of 9 seconds. neares
Scoring: Time taken to finish zig-zag run and as per the norms grading is done.
