Problem statement:
Are you tired of not
getting to check the soil
moisture and spraying
water according to the
moisture? Are you tired
of not getting to grow
seasonal fruits in other
seasons?

Hypothesis:
This project helps you to
grow seasonal crops by
setting the temperature
to a certain amount and
also check the moisture
of the soil and spray
water accordingly.
Materials:
Soil moisture sensor
Temperature sensor
(DHT11)
Motor driver
Water pump + pipe
9V battery
Breadboard
Arduino
Fake grass
Plywood
Cardboard

Research:
The old method of
irrigation was drawing
water from wells
The new method of
irrigation is spraying
water with a hose
Procedure:
Soil moisture sensor:
Connect VCC to positive
rail of breadboard
Connect GND to negative
rail of breadboard
Connect AO to A0 of
Arduino

Temperature sensor:
Connect + to positive rail
of Arduino
Connect OUT to Digital
pin 7 of Arduino
Connect – to negative
rail of the breadboard
Water pump:
Connect both the pins to
motor driver section
2MB1

Motor driver:
Connect B1 to digital pin
2 of Arduino
Connect B2 to digital pin
3 of the Arduino
Connect EN2 to digital
pin 9 of the Arduino
Connect VCC to positive
rail of breadboard
Connect GND to negative
rail of the breadboard
Connect the battery to
the battery connector.

LCD display:
Connect VCC to positive
rail of breadboard
Connect GND to negative
rail of breadboard
Connect SDA to A4 of
Arduino
Connect SCL to A5 of
Arduino
Breadboard:
Connect positive rail to
5V of arduino
Connect negative rail to
GND of Arduino

Plywood:
Place the grass,soil and
circuit on the plywood.

Conclusion:
By this project, we got to
incorporate IOT
technology to make
irrigation easier to
farmers

What did I learn: I learnt

the steps of agriculture
and I also learnt how we
can make irrigation
easier for crops
