Week 1: from 15 / 5 / 2019 To 21 / 5 / 2019

Expected work:

i. Study of organization chart of industry / plant with responsibilities of different posts

ii. General study, its location, its history and its product range, its size, number of
employees its turnover etc.

Day Date Activities carried out

On first day we meet all the employs and manager as well and
1 15 – 5 observe the various parts and machines that they are using

Second day we get the information about parts and various machines
2 16 - 5 that they are using like air compressor, hydraulic lifter etc.

On this day we start actually working with them so as the first day of
3 17 - 5 working we only observe that how they are handling the

On forth day we learn about clutch cable. In that we learn how it

4 19 - 5 works in practical way and how we can replace it.

On fifth day we got chance to know about all types of things like
5 20 - 5 grease and oil that they are using etc.

On this day we only observe the inner part of engine that engine was
6 21 - 5 4 stroke SI engine of old Honda bike

Weekly summarization of above activities:As it is a first week so we mostly observe all the
process that going on our around. We observe all the work very carefully and learn.

Week 2: from 23 / 5 / 2019 To 29 / 5 / 2018

Expected work: study of layout and specification of major machines and equipments and raw
materials / components used

List the sections of industry visited and list the major machines equipments and raw
materials etc. studied:

On the first day of second week we got information about brake laver
1 23 - 5 and brake cable and we learn how to replace it with new one

This day we learn about scooters like activa. We learn how to change
2 24 - 5 oil of any scooty like activa

On this day we learn how to change oil of any bike like extreme and
3 26 – 5 CB shine.

On fourth day of second week we learn about brake like disc brake
4 27 - 5 new technology in disc brake

Now we finally got chance to know about shock absorbers but on

5 28 - 5 basic level or in application level

On last day of second week we learn about carburetor which is the

6 29 – 5 most important part of any bike

Weekly summarization of above activities: In second week we got chance to know more about
bikes and their problems like replacements of parts and other. As it is a second week we learn
lots of parts and their working as well.

Week 3: from 30 / 5 / 2019 To 5 / 6 / 19

Expected work:

i. Study of production processes along with production planningand control procedures

List the Selection of Industry visited and list the major production processes, and
production for which planning and control procedures etc. Are studied :

On this we learn about clutch and parts related to clutch also we got
1 30 - 5 chance to see the bike clutch from inside out

On this day we learn about starter motor on basic level like how it is
2 31 - 5 works or how it functions etc.

On this day we know about piston along with crank and piston rings
3 2–6 etc.

On this day we did the replacement of handle which may be bend

4 3-6 during the accident

On fifth day of same week we know about chain weil and its problem
5 4-6 we observe the replacement of whole chain kit

On this day we did the replacement of brake and speedometer cable

6 5-6 and its oil change also

Weekly summarization of above activities: Third week was about our actual working and taking
part in basic work like replacements of parts changing oils etc. this week we got chance to work
as a actual worker in industry

Week 4: from 6 / 6 / 2019 To 12 / 6 / 2019

Expected work: Study of testing and quality assurance processes

List the Selection of Industry visited and list the major testing and quality assurance
process visited there

Day Date Activities carried out

On first day of last week start actually working with them so on this
1 6-6 day we solve the actual problem of bike that was the back light
unable to start there was a problem of back light switch
On this day we reassemble the upper part or head of two wheeler
2 7-6 petrol engine with use of air pressure screw setter with help of other
employees
On this day we assemble and reassemble the old Bajaj engine with
3 9-6 help of other workers and observed it carefully
On this day we learn about their service center like how they start this
4 10 - 6 industry and grow it is as a successful business

On this day we did some basic work like changing oil and other parts
5 11 - 6 and also got some information about how actually a bike have lots of
problems and as a engineer how we can solve it.
On last day we reassemble the whole engine that we opened ( old
6 12 - 6 Bajaj engine ) and get certificate from them and successfully
completed our implant training.

Weekly summarization of above activities: Last week we learn a lots of things to not only
observe but also to do. We do the assembly and disassembly of old Bajaj engine that gives us to
understand the engine in better way
