Changes in The Environment
Traditional lifestyles often depend on predictable environmental patterns. For example, nomadic
herders in Mongolia rely on consistent seasonal cycles to graze their livestock. However, climate
change has disrupted these cycles. Unseasonal droughts and harsh winters, locally referred to
as dzud, have intensified, leading to livestock loss and threatening the herders' primary source of
livelihood. Similarly, rising sea levels have displaced coastal communities, eroding their
ancestral lands.
