[00:00:00.54 --> 00:00:04.
08] hello everyone
[00:00:02.10 --> 00:00:06.78] today I am bringing you task interview [00:00:04.08 --> 00:00:08.28] questions series based on scenario based [00:00:06.78 --> 00:00:10.32] or real-time interview questions I got a [00:00:08.28 --> 00:00:12.12] lot of requests for this so let's get [00:00:10.32 --> 00:00:13.62] started I'm going to cover probably one [00:00:12.12 --> 00:00:15.30] question at a time and I'll make an [00:00:13.62 --> 00:00:16.92] entire series on this so the first [00:00:15.30 --> 00:00:18.96] question could be asked is how do you [00:00:16.92 --> 00:00:21.30] create a workspace in Tosca okay so [00:00:18.96 --> 00:00:23.70] let's get into this so first we need to [00:00:21.30 --> 00:00:25.44] launch Tosca Commander okay and after [00:00:23.70 --> 00:00:27.78] launching Tasker Commander we'll get the [00:00:25.44 --> 00:00:30.78] basic view so I'm going to explain [00:00:27.78 --> 00:00:33.98] everything around this right [00:00:30.78 --> 00:00:33.98] let this get loaded [00:00:34.08 --> 00:00:39.42] okay so you'll see a UI something like [00:00:36.78 --> 00:00:40.98] this for us to create a workspace if a [00:00:39.42 --> 00:00:43.94] workspace is already there then we can [00:00:40.98 --> 00:00:46.08] click on open and then select whichever [00:00:43.94 --> 00:00:47.28] workspace we want to work with now in [00:00:46.08 --> 00:00:49.98] case you want to create a new one we'll [00:00:47.28 --> 00:00:51.66] click on create new okay so first and [00:00:49.98 --> 00:00:54.00] foremost you will have two different [00:00:51.66 --> 00:00:55.80] options you can create a single user [00:00:54.00 --> 00:00:56.76] workspace or you can create a multi-user [00:00:55.80 --> 00:00:59.28] workspace [00:00:56.76 --> 00:01:01.38] so if you are creating a single user [00:00:59.28 --> 00:01:04.44] workspace you don't need not select any [00:01:01.38 --> 00:01:07.50] of the mentioned repositories to be [00:01:04.44 --> 00:01:09.12] used okay now there could be a chance so [00:01:07.50 --> 00:01:11.88] single user workspace is pretty easy [00:01:09.12 --> 00:01:14.10] here whatever the path is given and then [00:01:11.88 --> 00:01:16.74] you select the name for the workspace so [00:01:14.10 --> 00:01:18.60] let's say I'll write workspace only here [00:01:16.74 --> 00:01:20.04] and here you will get the option to use [00:01:18.60 --> 00:01:22.26] workspace template you should always [00:01:20.04 --> 00:01:25.76] select this option so this is by default [00:01:22.26 --> 00:01:28.68] going to import the standard subset of [00:01:25.76 --> 00:01:30.84] Tosca Commander okay now you will not [00:01:28.68 --> 00:01:33.30] see this option create slim workspace in [00:01:30.84 --> 00:01:35.58] case of single user workspace so you [00:01:33.30 --> 00:01:38.16] just click on OK and [00:01:35.58 --> 00:01:40.92] your workspace creation gets started [00:01:38.16 --> 00:01:43.80] okay it will take a couple of minutes [00:01:40.92 --> 00:01:44.94] probably or less than that and it will [00:01:43.80 --> 00:01:47.90] create your [00:01:44.94 --> 00:01:47.90] new workspace [00:01:48.36 --> 00:01:52.04] so let this get loaded [00:01:55.92 --> 00:02:00.48] okay so our workspace is loaded now let [00:01:58.38 --> 00:02:02.90] me close this project [00:02:00.48 --> 00:02:02.90] close [00:02:03.96 --> 00:02:07.68] and here you'll be able to see the name [00:02:06.30 --> 00:02:09.84] of the workspace which we have used [00:02:07.68 --> 00:02:11.82] while creation is existing now we can [00:02:09.84 --> 00:02:12.90] perform whatever workspace is created [00:02:11.82 --> 00:02:14.64] here now we can perform whatever [00:02:12.90 --> 00:02:16.86] operations we want inside this workspace [00:02:14.64 --> 00:02:19.56] okay now this is about a single user [00:02:16.86 --> 00:02:21.84] workspace in case of multi-user [00:02:19.56 --> 00:02:24.12] workspace which is primarily used in uh [00:02:21.84 --> 00:02:26.16] all the big mnc's wherever we are [00:02:24.12 --> 00:02:27.84] creating the project okay so there [00:02:26.16 --> 00:02:30.06] instead of selecting this particular [00:02:27.84 --> 00:02:32.34] option I'll click on this drop down now [00:02:30.06 --> 00:02:34.26] with whatever kind of [00:02:32.34 --> 00:02:36.12] the repository server you have created [00:02:34.26 --> 00:02:38.58] you will select that option most [00:02:36.12 --> 00:02:40.68] predominantly Ms SQL Server is used but [00:02:38.58 --> 00:02:42.30] you can use either of these options if I [00:02:40.68 --> 00:02:44.52] click on this [00:02:42.30 --> 00:02:46.26] now you'll see the options have changed [00:02:44.52 --> 00:02:48.78] okay now [00:02:46.26 --> 00:02:50.58] first of all you would need a [00:02:48.78 --> 00:02:53.46] connection string that would contain the [00:02:50.58 --> 00:02:55.38] DB details in all okay now [00:02:53.46 --> 00:02:56.64] here if I click on the question mark it [00:02:55.38 --> 00:02:58.08] will be something like this particular [00:02:56.64 --> 00:03:00.66] format so whatever is server name [00:02:58.08 --> 00:03:02.22] database user ID and password that needs [00:03:00.66 --> 00:03:03.54] to be mentioned here once you have [00:03:02.22 --> 00:03:05.64] entered this you click on test [00:03:03.54 --> 00:03:07.74] connection okay if this particular [00:03:05.64 --> 00:03:09.54] connection string is valid then it is [00:03:07.74 --> 00:03:12.00] going to give you that this particular [00:03:09.54 --> 00:03:14.10] connection string is valid okay since I [00:03:12.00 --> 00:03:16.02] I don't have it set up that's why [00:03:14.10 --> 00:03:19.02] this connection could not be established [00:03:16.02 --> 00:03:20.46] okay now here as well uh you will get [00:03:19.02 --> 00:03:23.64] the options and you can select whatever [00:03:20.46 --> 00:03:27.00] is accordingly here okay now if I show [00:03:23.64 --> 00:03:29.52] this here you can always select a name [00:03:27.00 --> 00:03:30.72] for a new workspace and ideally when [00:03:29.52 --> 00:03:32.88] you're working in a multi-user [00:03:30.72 --> 00:03:34.32] repository you all should follow similar [00:03:32.88 --> 00:03:37.38] naming convention however it could be [00:03:34.32 --> 00:03:39.18] different as well okay now here we do [00:03:37.38 --> 00:03:40.98] not get this option of using the [00:03:39.18 --> 00:03:44.16] workspace template because [00:03:40.98 --> 00:03:46.08] the workspace is already existing and [00:03:44.16 --> 00:03:47.58] initially when this workspace is created [00:03:46.08 --> 00:03:49.62] using the connection string the standard [00:03:47.58 --> 00:03:51.48] subset have already been populated so we [00:03:49.62 --> 00:03:52.98] do not get this option let's say you're [00:03:51.48 --> 00:03:55.44] doing it the first time you can [00:03:52.98 --> 00:03:57.66] obviously uh go to support portal [00:03:55.44 --> 00:03:59.70] download the standard subset and then [00:03:57.66 --> 00:04:01.14] import it and that will be available for [00:03:59.70 --> 00:04:03.18] all the users whoever are working on [00:04:01.14 --> 00:04:05.64] that multi-user repository here we have [00:04:03.18 --> 00:04:07.40] the option to create slim workspace so [00:04:05.64 --> 00:04:09.90] as the [00:04:07.40 --> 00:04:11.34] if you hover over this you see that if [00:04:09.90 --> 00:04:13.38] checked objects with high data volume [00:04:11.34 --> 00:04:15.96] will not be transferred from the common [00:04:13.38 --> 00:04:18.54] repository in order to speed up okay so [00:04:15.96 --> 00:04:20.04] if I click on this the load on my [00:04:18.54 --> 00:04:23.46] toaster Commander is going to be [00:04:20.04 --> 00:04:25.02] comparatively lesser in even if if I'm [00:04:23.46 --> 00:04:27.18] not using this particular option okay [00:04:25.02 --> 00:04:30.54] now you fill in all these fields and you [00:04:27.18 --> 00:04:32.52] click on OK depending on the type of the [00:04:30.54 --> 00:04:34.20] size of your repository it is going to [00:04:32.52 --> 00:04:36.84] take that much time to create the [00:04:34.20 --> 00:04:40.08] workspace okay this could be asked as [00:04:36.84 --> 00:04:42.06] one of the basic interview questions [00:04:40.08 --> 00:04:44.52] now that's pretty much it around the [00:04:42.06 --> 00:04:46.74] workspace Creation in case you like my [00:04:44.52 --> 00:04:50.12] content do like share and subscribe and [00:04:46.74 --> 00:04:50.12] have a great day thank you
