Introduction
The capacity building training aimed at empowering Community Action Groups (CAGs) to
effectively raise awareness about girls' education and gender issues within their communities.
Recognizing the critical role that education plays in achieving gender equality, this training
sought to equip participants with the necessary tools, knowledge, and strategies to advocate for
girls' rights and promote educational opportunities for all.
Objectives
1. Enhance understanding of the importance of girls' education and the challenges faced in
accessing it.
2. Equip participants with advocacy skills to effectively communicate and promote gender
issues.

Target Participants
The training program held in Dire Woreda from December 26 to 29, 2024, was designed to
engage a diverse group of participants who play critical roles in their communities. The selection
of participants aimed to ensure a broad representation of stakeholders invested in promoting
girls' education and addressing gender issues.
By targeting a diverse group of participants, the training program aimed to create a well-rounded
and informed Community Action Group capable of advocating for girls' education and gender
equality in Dire Woreda. The collective insights and commitments from these participants are

Training Methodology
