DOCUMENTS CHECKLIST
(1) Forwarding letter to CoE Patna

(2) Information sheet of the school duly attested by the Principal/Manager.- Mention
annexure-1 -Format attached

(3) Annual Training calendar of the school for the session 2024-2025 duly attested by
the Principal/Manager.

(4) Annual Training Budget and its utilisation details for the session 2024-2025 , duly
attested by the Principal/Manager.

(5) Staff details, Acquittance statement of teaching/non teaching staff & class wise
enrolment for the session 2024-2025, duly attested by the Principal/Manager. In case
there is leaving/joining of teachers in mid-session enclose this additional sheet:-
i. No. of teachers as on 1.4.2024

ii. No. of teachers who left school in mid session

iii. No. of teachers who joined in mid session

iv. No. of teachers as on 31.3.2025

(6) Photocopies of the training certificates issued to the teachers for the session 2024-
2025 from CBSE/ Govt duly attested by the Principal/Manager.

(7) Photocopies of the training certificates issued to the teachers for the session 2024-
2025 from Sahodaya/ Inhouse duly attested by the Principal/Manager.

(8) Videography as a proof of Training. It should be unedited raw footage stored in


Portable Hard Disk of WD/Seagate/Toshiba/etc or hosted on cloud. Entire training in
respect of all teachers & principals should be covered in the videography with date/time
stamp.

(9) Compliance summary report. School can submit this in any template as mentioned
below duly attested by the Principal/Manager:-
(a) Arjun 2.0 Template with Printout of Excel file containing the details of teachers,
target hours OR
(b) Manual Reporting format G1, G2 and G3 as per annexure

( Note: All points should be replied marked separately as Annexure/Flag. For example if you are
making documents of Sl No. 8, flag/mention this as Annexure-8)

All records/information should pertain to the training taken by the teachers between 1st
April 2024- 31st March 2025. Do not submit any report of 2024-22 session before 10.4.2025.

Chapter 16. IN SERVICE TRAINING OF TEACHERS
AND QUALITY ASSESSMENT

Chapter 16 of CBSE Affiliation Bye-laws


IN SERVICE TRAINING OF TEACHERS AND QUALITY ASSESSMENT
( As amended upto 24 Sep 2024)
16.1
Every affiliated School will arrange for the following Training Programmes every year for
all its Teachers:

16.1.1 Every school should ensure that all the teachers must participate in at least 50 hours of
Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Out of these 50 hours, CPD of 25 hours shall be
completed by the teacher in the programmes organized by the Board or by the State Govt. or
Govt. Regional Teachers Training Institutions and school shall organize remaining 25 hours of
CPD in collaboration with School Complex of CBSE or in- house programmes.

16.1.2 Deleted

16.1.3 Every school should ensure that Principal and School complex leaders must participate
in at least 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Out of these 50 hours,
CPD of 25 hours shall be completed by the Principal and School Complex Leader in the
programmes organized by the Board or by the State Government or Government Regional
Teachers Training Institutions and school shall organize remaining 25 hours of CPD in
collaboration with School Complex of CBSE or in- house programmes.

16.2 Deleted

16.3 The entire training programme as specified in Clauses 16.1 and sub-clauses thereto shall
be properly videographed and documented including training participation certificates of
teachers and the records be reported annually to concerned Centre of Excellence of the Board
for verification.

16.4. TRAINING BUDGET:

16.4.1. Every School shall earmark adequate budget for Training of Teachers/Principals.

16.4.2. Every School shall remit to the CBSE such fee for training of Teachers/Principals at the

CBSE Training Centers as prescribed by the Board from time to time.

16.5. Board may consider the request of foreign schools, to conduct training in the school by
deputing a resource person, subject to the condition that the cost and expenses of the training
and trainer will be borne by the school.

16.6. QUALITY ASSESSMENT


To help in establishing a level of acceptable quality in all aspects of school functioning, the
Board may decide quality assessment criterion and accordingly make it mandatory for the
schools to undergo the process of quality assessment in a manner prescribed by the Board.

Chapter 12 of CBSE Affiliation Bye-laws

Chapter 12. PENALTIES

12.1. If a School is found violating the provisions of the Affiliation Bye


Laws/Examinations Bye Laws of the Board or does not abide by the directions of the
Board, the Board shall have powers to impose the following penalties:

12.1.1. Written warning

12.1.2. Imposing fine up to Rs. 5,00,000/-

12.1.3. Downgrading school from Senior Secondary Level to Secondary Level.

12.1.4. Restricting number of sections in the school.

12.1.5. Debarring the school from sponsoring students in Board's examinations up to a


period of two years.

12.1.6. Suspension of Affiliation for a definite period.

12.1.7. Debarring the school from applying for affiliation or restoration of affiliation up to
a period of five years.

12.1.8. Withdrawal of Affiliation in a particular subject(s) or stream(s).

12.1.9. Withdrawal of Affiliation.

12.1.10. Any other penalty deemed appropriate by the Board.

12.2. The Board may impose all or any of the penalties mentioned in clauses
12.1.1 to 12.1.9 on any school, in the following cases:

12.2.1. For gross malpractices in examination, academic, administrative and financial


matters.

12.2.9. For not sending teachers/principal for the teacher trainings as per requirements
of these byelaws.

12.2.13. Any violation in connection with the duties and responsibilities by the School or
the Head of the School or Trust/Society/Company which has established or running the
school as given in these bye-laws or directions issued from time to time.

12.2.16. Any other matter which the Board considers sufficiently serious for imposition
of penalty or disaffiliation.

Illustration and FAQ on Training Rules
applicable for 2024-2025 session
Principal, Sahodaya leaders and School teachers have to do a minimum of 50 hours training
each every year.
Break-up of this 50 hours per teacher will be as under:-
(a) 25 hours from CBSE CoE Portal/ CBSE/ Govt. institutions
(b) 25 hours from Sahodaya/In-house

Illustration: If you have 1 Principal and 25 teachers than following mandatory hours of training
needs to be done by the school
between 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025:-
(a) 26 x 25= 650 hour of CBSE CoE Training
(b) 26 x 25= 650 hour of Sahodaya/Inhouse Training.

Query: How to book for CBSE Training?

Query: Can Inhouse training be conducted online or offline?


Reply: School can conduct either online or offline.

Query: Whether training organized by KVS/NVS is treated as Govt training?


Reply: While counting the minimum hours, KVs/JNVs can count the training already conducted
by KVS/JNV as per the norms. This clause is not applicable for schools affiliated under the
Independent category.

Query: Who can conduct Inhouse Training?


Reply: Inhouse training implies training inside school for its own teachers using their own
Teachers/own Faculty as Resource Persons. Teachers of the same school who have taken
training from CBSE can also act as Resource Person for other teachers of the school.
