FINANCIAL AND POLICY AGREEMENT

1.) All forms are to be completed and returned before children start at the Burford Co-op Preschool & Children’s
Centre.
2.) Burford Co-op Preschool requests that children on the calendar system have calendars submitted on or before the
20th day of each month (prior to the month being paid). Monthly calendars are an agreement for a certain number of
days at the Preschool per month. If your child does not attend the Preschool on one or more of these days, payment is
still required as staff members are scheduled according to daily capacity.
3.) Regular daily rates apply to the same fixed days each week of the year
4.) All cheques are to payable to Burford Co-operative Preschool. All cheques are due the 1 st of each month. If you
choose to pay bi-weekly, then post dated cheques must be submitted by the 1st of the month and be dated no later than
the 15th. If you are paying with one cheque, it must be dated for the 1st of the month. Accounts in arrears by the 15th of
the month are subject to a $35 late payment charge. If payment is not received by the end of the month, your child care
space may be terminated at the discretion of the Preschool Executive.
8.) I agree to pay a non-refundable $20.00 registration fee per child, or $30.00 per family per registration session.
9.) A $100 fundraising deposit fee, per family, will be paid by September 1st of each school year. This fee will be
returned (or rolled over into the next year), in full, at the end of August provided that parents have attended at least 1
General Meeting, and participated in at least 50% of the fundraisers throughout the year. “Participation” is defined as
helping to plan or carry out a fundraiser (ie. collect donations, man a booth) AND/OR assisting with the sales of a
particular item (ie. Popcorn, gift cards, Dieleman DFS). The Preschool may choose a variety of fundraisers including
both community events and the sales type. Parents will be informed of the fundraisers planned for the year so that
families can decide which events/sales they want to participate in.
10.) All NSF cheques will be subject to a fee of $25.00, and a new cheque must be reissued immediately. Burford
Co-op Preschool reserves the right to refuse any further cheques should this occur.
11.) Two weeks’ written notice is required if your child is going to pull out of the program on a
permanent basis, otherwise full program fees will continue to be charged. A permanent space
cannot be guaranteed if a parent wishes to temporarily withdraw their child(ren). In this case,
the child(ren) would be placed on a waiting list, and the registration fee would be paid again.
*Exceptions to the aforementioned rule would only be accommodated if no other child was on
the waiting list for the specific days in question*

I acknowledge that I have read, and understand, the following financial and policy agreement.

I WILL CARRY OUT THE PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES UNDER THIS AGREEMENT.
