The indicator shall olso be morked NOT FOR RETAIL COUNTER USE.
1.6 VesificotionMork
The following tests should be carried out in conjunction with any test procedures
in the approval documentation for the instrument to which this indicator is
connected.
1. Zero Test
._
As the outomotic device resets zero when the weighing mechanism is in equilibrium
within 0.5e of zero, zero should be checked as described in Document 104, with o
lood equal to, soy, 10e on the lood receptor. The indications with 0.258 ond 0.75e
odditionolmoss on the lood receptor will be 10e ond lle respectively.
2. Zero Range
The moximum ronge of operotion of the zero setting device should not exceed 4% of
the moximum copocfty (f 2% approximately). With zero bolonce indicated opply a
10d of, soy, 2.5% of maximum capacity to the instrument and press the zero button;
the instrument should not rezero.
3. Ronge of Indication
The moximum moss indicated should not exceed the morked moximum copocity by more
than 10e; obove this indicated moss the indication should be blonk or show
non-numerical chorocters.
Below zero the indicationshould blank or show o moss preceded by o minus sign.
4. Lood Test
Test loods ore to be applied to the complete weighing instrument increasing in not
- less thon 5 opproximotely equal steps to moximum capacity, followed by decreasing
loods in not less than 5 approximatelyequol steps to zero lood.
5. Tore Test
The semi-outomotic taring device (where fitted) sholl be oble to reset the moss
indicator to zero within $0.25e at any load within its capacity: . this moy be
checked OS described for Zero Test. .
