Prepositions

A preposition is a part of speech that introduces a prepositional


phrase. A preposition is a part of speech that shows a relationship
between two things.
•Location (on, under, in)
•Timing (before, after, during)
•Direction (from, toward, to)
To show the relationship between the nouns, verbs, and adjectives in
a sentence:
A person and their location or destination
An object and who it belongs to
An event and when it happens
