 Welcome

The 1st National Seminar titled “Green Chemical Processes, Impact on the
Environment and Sustainable Development GCPIESD’24” has been organized by
the faculty of sciences, Department of chemistry and the Organic Synthesis
Laboratory, Modeling and Optimization of Chemical Processes (LOMOP) at Badji
Mokhtar Annaba University (Sidi Amar Campus). The main aim of the conference is
to provide an opportunity to share the scientific research findings and experiences
of young researchers, doctoral students, teacher-researchers from Algeria in
various fields of chemistry.
GCPIESD’24 welcomes over 200 participants eager to share their expertise
through engaging presentations. These presentations will offer valuable insights
into the main conference topics, highlighting real-world challenges and proposing
innovative solutions.
Three topics were proposed:
Topic 1: Organic synthesis and molecular modeling (homogeneous catalysis,
heterogeneous catalysis, organic synthesis and phytochemistry)
Topic 2: Environmental engineering processes and green chemistry (analytical
chemistry, environmental chemistry and environmental engineering)
Topic 3: Nanomaterials (electrochemistry and environment)
The conference will include a Plenary Lecture, Honory lecture and three Thematic
Lectures complemented by 39 Oral Communications, as well as 190 Poster
Communications, divided into 3 sessions.
I wish all participants a successful conference, fruitful discussion, future
collaborations and development. I hope you will all enjoy your stay in Annaba.

Oral Presentation:
 Two oral sessions will be organized.
 Each session, containing three topics, will be simultaneously divided into three
different amphitheaters or rooms.
 Please meticulously adhere to your session.
 You must arrive 15 minutes before your session.
 A laptop will be available in each amphitheater for the oral communication
sessions.
 Speakers are required to adhere to the presentation time of "10 minutes for
presentation + 5 minutes for questions."
Poster Presentation:
 Three poster sessions will be organized.
 Please strictly adhere to your session number.
 Your poster should be a single page in portrait format (A0 size), following the
template provided at the link: (https://www.univ-annaba.dz/events/the-1st-
