Chapter One
How to Install, Unload and Upgrade the Software

1.1 The minimum requirements of the computer for Software


installation
CPU Celeron 800MHz or above Pentium 500MHz
Storage At least 1GB
Hard Disk SystemDrive need at least 1GB capacity
Display Super VGA (1024x768) or higher resolution display(Color be set to 256 or higher)
Mouse Microsoft mouse or specified devices
Operating System: the supported system is as follows
Windows 2000
Windows XP
Windows 2003
Win 7
Please select the relevant language version to install the software

1.2 Install The Software


First, put CD into the drive, operate the setup file, click

Create a shortcut for “Parking Access Control System” in the Start Menu Folder, click “Next”

Click “Install”, system will install automatically.

Click “Finish” and start running the “Parking Access Control System” after installation.
Note: the desktop will add shortcut automatically if you selected “Create a desk icon” on the process of
installation.

1.3 How to install and establish database


This system supports the database of ACCESS and SQL SERVER, the “Parking Access Control System”
attached with the ACCESS database, you can use directly. ACCESS database specially designed for smaller
systems, generally within 50 sets of equipment or system within the 200 personnel can use the ACCESS
database. If you requires lots of devices and the personnel data are plenty, we recommend that you install and
use the SQL SERVER database, it’s a database specially designed for large data applications, which can realize
networked computer management, it is more stronger and stable than ACCESS.

1.3.1 Reference of SQL Server 2000 installation


SQL Server 2000 installation
Note: If your system need to manage plenty devices and personnel data, suggest using SQL Server 2008 R2
enterprise edition or DataCenter version.

If you have experience on SQL database operation, you don’t need reference to the following way, if you don't
know much about the SQL and it is the first time to install SQL, we suggest you reference to the following
process to install.
(1) Put the installation disk SQL Server 2000 into CD driver, wait for computer run automatically, to pop-up
the installation interface or open the CD file,,click “setup.exe”, the pop-up installation interface is as follows:

(2) Select “Install SQL Server 2000 module”, “Install Database Server” in turn, wait for computer install
automatically, pop-up the welcome interface, click “Next”:

(3) Select “Create a new instance of SQL, or install Client Tools” on the installation interface, click “Next” >
“Next” in turn.

(4) Click “Yes” on the “Software License Agreement” interface, select “Server and Client Tools”, click on
“Next” > “Next” in turn.

(5)Select “Typical” on the Setup Type interface, click on “Next”.

(6) Click on “Use the same account for each service. Auto start SQL Server Service” > “Use the Local System
account” in turn, click “Next”.

(7) Click on “Mixed Mode (Windows Authentication and SQL Server Authentication)” on the Authentication
Mode interface, input password in “Enter password”,click “Next” > “Next” in turn after inputting password.

Click “Finish” on the pop-up interface after installation.

Start the service manager SQL Server 2000


Click on “Start” > “Procedure” > “Microsoft SQL Server” > “Server Service Manager”, the pop-up
interface is as follows:

Click on “Start/Continue” to start SQL Server


Pleas select “Auto-start service when OS starts”, it’s convenient for the SQL Server start automatically
when using computer for each time.SQL Server started interface is as follows:

1.3.2 Reference of SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition Installation


Please confirm whether stalled Windows Installer 3.1 on your computer before SQL Server 2008
installation, if not, please install first and turn off the Windows Firewall.
Open SQL Server 2008 installation file, click “setup.exe”.

Click “Installation”, then click “New installation or add feature to an existing installation”.

Select “Mixed Mode (SOL Server authentication and Windows authentication)”.


Input the password in “Enter password” and “Confirm password”.
Click on “Add Current User”.

Chapter Two
Basic Operation of the Software

2.1 Enter the software

(1)Click on ,enter the login interface:

(2) Enter the user name: SYSTEM, the password: 0000(Note: the user name is in capital), you can enter the
system directly because the blanket has be fill in by default. If you forget the password, you can click on
“Change”.

Enter the answer on the “Reset Password” interface, the default answer is “SYS”(Capital), input the new
password in the frame, reconfirm the password on the “Confirm Password” frame. Different operator can set
different password question and answer, the user name and the password can be changed in the software as well,
the specific setting please refer to “2.2.4 System operator”.

(3)The main interface after login:

The main interface menu, function menu on the left and guide tour: the setting of function menu on the left

and guide tour have the same effect with the main interface menu, click on the which beside the Guide
Tour to find the specification.

2.1.1 Help/Module Import/Layout


(1)The main interface only turn on simple basic function, you need to turn on more functions by click on
“Help” > “Module Import”, the pop- up interface is as follows:

Input the password(Note: the password is operator’s password, the default password is 0000), then click on
“OK”, the pop-up interface is as follows:

Select the functions according your needs, the click on “Save” and exit.
(2) If you don’t know the wiring diagram of the devices, you can click on “Help” > “Layout”.

2.1.2 Corporate
(1)After installation, click on “Corporate” > “Corporate”, input the information according to needs, the
interfaces is as follows:

2.2 Software basic setting


2.2.1 Select the location and event log
Click on the menu “Software Setting” > “Basic Setting”, the interface is as follows:

(1) Select the location, the system will change to relevant mode.

(2) Select the period of event log, the data which over the time will be cleared automatically.

2.2.2 Connection Password setting

Connection password: it is used between the software and devices, in case of the devices be embezzled.

2.2.3 Default parameter setting and database backup path


You can set “Auto Download Transaction”, “Auto- Upload Access Data”, “Card Expansion”, “Card
Release Time” and other function setting, as follows:

2.2.3.1. Auto- Download Transaction and Auto-Upload Access Data


If you need to set Auto-Download Transaction and Auto-Upload Access Data, you can click on “AutoRun”
and “Auto-Upload Access”, you can set according to Minutes, Daily or Days, as follows:

2.2.3.2 Lock Release Time and Force Alarm


The lock release time is 3s by default, the lock release time setting please refer to 2.5.16.1 Release Time.
You can set force alarm by the reader with keyboard, the force alarm setting please refer to 2.5.15.6 Force Alarm,
as follows:

2.2.3.4 Database setting, auto compress and backup when exit


You can select on “Auto compress and backup when exit” in case of losing data when computer malfunction
or operation mistakes, and you can set the backup path by click on “Select”.

Input the file name and click on “Save”.

2.2.3.5 Controller Connection Setting


You can set the “Waiting Time” and “Reconnect Count” according the quality of network. The waiting time
more less the system speed more quick, but the possibility of communication failure is more higher as well. So,
please check the communication of software and devices whether adapt to you setting. Click on “Connection
Setting”, the interface is as follows:

2.2.4 System Operator


Click on “Software Setting”, > “System Operator”, the interface is as follows:

You can add, delete and export operator on the interface.

2.2.4.1 Add new operator

Click on , input the Admin Name, Password, Question and Answer, then set the privilege
according needs, the interface is as follows:

2.2.4.2 Delete the operator

Select the target operator on the interface, then click on “Delete”.

Click on “YES” on the pop-up window.

2.2.4.3 .Export Operator


If there are lots of operators, you can export the operator information in order to manage in future. Click on
“Export”, input the file name and path, then click on “Save”, as follows:

2.2.5 Change password


Click on “Software Setting” > “Change Password”, pop-up the following window, input the password and
new password, re-input the new password in the Confirm Password frame, click on “Save” and exit.

2.2.6 Syslog View


Click on “Software Setting” > “Syslog View”, it is used to view the setting by operator in each time.

2.2.7 Database backup, recovery and compact


(1)Click on “Software Setting” > “Backup”, the pop-up window is as follows:

Input the file name and click on “Save” back to backup interface, click on “Back Up”, then click on “Exit”.

Click on the database file which need to be recovered( If the database file is damaged, then select the latest
database compact path to recover on computer), click on “Select” and back to the “Restore” interface, as follow:

2.2.8 Initialization
1. Click on “Software Setting” > “Initialization”, the pop-up interface is as follows:

Select the target item, then click on . (Note: the initialization database can’t be recover)
2.2.9 Background Image
Click on “Software Setting” > “Background Image”, it will pop-up a window, you can change the
background image according your needs, the size requirement is 1024*768. Click on “Save” after selecting.

2.3 Device Install

2.3.1 Tag name


The tag name setting is beneficial to manage in the future, and beneficial to know the install place. Click on
“Device Install” > “Tag Name”, the interface is as follows:

You can add, edit or delete the tag name. You can click on “Add”, the pop-up interface is as follows:

Input the tag name, such as personnel department, the tag name describe is the device installed location.
Such as above the entry door. Then click on “Save”.
If the tag name or the location describe is wrong, then click on the tag name and click on “Edit”, then you
can modify the tag name or the describe, click on “Save” after finish, as follows:

2.3.2 Auto Search


You can search all the online controller with the auto search function,it’s convenience to add the
controller to software. Click on the “Device Install” > “Auto Search”,the interface is as follows:

Choose the RS232/485,LAN TCP/IP or WAN type according the communication way of devices
installation.
(1)RS232/485: select the correct port, the default port is COM 001, then click on “Search”(Note:advise use
RS232/485 transverter, the port must fit the transverter COM port of computer, wait a few sec, the controller
will be searched, then click on the controller and click on “Install”.

(2)TCP/IP:input the port, default port is 8101, then click on “Search”. (Note:the device must connect to
computer by transverter),if the IP address of computer differ from the IP address of controller,then the controller
can’t be installed, you can double click the controller, as follows:

If your device is TCP/IP communication way, then you need to modify the IP address of the controller,
double click on the controller the pop-up TCP connection parameter interface is as follows:

(Note:The system can search the controller which has different network segment with computer, but you
need to reset the IP address to fit the computer network segment. If your router support multiple segment, then
the software can connect to controller directly)
Double click on the IP address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway to edit it to match the parameter of
computer, click on “Save” back to the installation interface, click on “Install”, the pop-up interface is as follows:

In the “Install Controller” interface, you can modify the the door information to the install location of the
controller,(for example: change the name of “25120824-1” to “Financial Department”), if the install location is
not the financial department, you can click on “Select” to modify, as follows:

If you need to set up the reader parameter, door open parameters, alarm parameter and other parameters,
you can click on “Advanced Attribute”on the installation interface, as follows:

Click on “Save” and exit after setting, the above function will also be mentioned in latter chapter.

(3)TCP/IP
If user want to visit controller by internet, only need a free dynamic domain name, then you can visit the
controller from the internet.

Essential condition: 1. Preparatory work before setting. 2. Ask for the webmaster of each network segment,
confirm the assignable IP address of the access controller. 3. Applied the dynamic domain name, the concrete
operation please refer to relevant article.

After setting the parameter of router, input the SN, then input the website or IP address and port of the

will pop up a window as follows:

Input the SN of the new controller, then click “Connection Info”to change the IP address, according the
needs to choose whether to use the parameters of the old controller, then click “Replace and Import Data” and
exit.

2.5.2 Calibrate the time clock

By using computer system’s clock to calibrate controller’s clock can make sure the time synchronization
between the Door Access System and the controller. Choose the target door, then click “Calibrate” and exit.
2.5.3 Upload data
It is a function to upload data to controller by one time after setting the parameter of new card, opening
time, door password and the controller respectively.
Click the menu “Door Access” >“Upload”, the interface is as follows:

Choose the target content, then click “upload”, click exit after finish.
2.5.4 Access level duplication
If user A have the right that other user don’t have, we can use the “Access Level duplication” function to
duplicate the right’s of A to other users. Click the menu “Door Access” > “Access level duplication” , the

selected time interval, even in selected day with selected door, then you can use the function of “Time Zone
Setting”, and you can set several time zone, for example the special situation in Saturday and Sunday.

Default data:Time Zone 01,from Monday to Sunday,24 hours works,but Time Zone 02-64 need to reset,
if need to add new time zone,you should select Time zone 02 to add,as follows:

(1)You can change the Time Zone name, and each day you can set 8 different time interval from Monday to
Sunday.
(2)You also can duplicate the time frame to the next day.
For example: you have set the time interval of Monday, then click “ Copy a Day” > “Tuesday” > “Paste a
Day”, Wednesday to Sunday are the same operation. After setting, click “Save” or “Save&Upload” and exit.
If you need set several time zone, and most of them have the same time interval, you can copy the whole
time zone to another time zone. For example, the Time Zone 02 have set and saved already, then click “Copy
All” > “Time Zone 03” > “Paste All”, the door open time of Time Zone 02 have been pasted to Time Zone
03.Then click “Save&Upload”.
If you don’t need “Time Zone Setting”, then click “Default”.
After setting the Time Zone, you need to choose the user, you should click “Access Level Setting” to select,
then you can make the “Time Zone Setting” work.
2.5.6 Access Level Setting

The camera is closed by default, you can turn it on by clicking “IP Camera”, connect the camera with LAN
switches, then fill in the “IP”, “Login port”, “Login” and “Password”, then click “Testing” to check whether the
computer can connect with the camera; you also can click the "Search" to search camera, click the "Save" and

2.5.13.4 Abnormal State
If there are alarm or other conditions in the e-map, you can click on “Voice Prompt” to check the situation
of abnormal door, as follows:
“E-Map”: online monitoring to all doors in the map, and you can choose “Soft-Pulse Open” or “Soft-Pulse
Close” according to the actual situation.
2.5.14 In-Door Limit

The calculation standard: the entry reader read once then add one person, the exit reader read once then
reduce one person.

When the in-door number achieving the maximum (Maximum limit), it will not open the door when swipe
cards. You have to wait for someone to go out then others can enter in.
2.5.14.1 Time Interval Manage

“Time Interval” is on the lower left corner of the last interface , you can set up re-reading
time, the feature is turned off by default, as follows:

The function of “Time interval” can set up the re-reading time of a card after it read once, the time interval

2.5.14.2 Anti-Passback
The “Anti-Passback” button is in the lower left corner of “In-door Limit”, if the
administrator wants to prevent users followed behind, then use the anti-passback function, but you have to use
card both when you enter and exit a door, so when you enter a door without card then you can’t exit even with a
card, or you give the card to others after entry, others could not enter even with the card. Or specified enter from
door A, then you must exit from door A as well.As follows:

2.5.15 Alarm Setting
If you want to get alarm information at the condition of doors was forced open, over the open time, invalid
card etc, in order to take action immediately.
Please note: using “Manual Alarm” function your devices must connect to magnetic signal and install
expansion modules.
2.5.15.1 Fire Alarm
Click on the menu “Door Access” > “Alarm Setting” (the default interface don’t have this feature, please
refer to 2.1.1 to start the function), interface is as follows:

“Fire Alarm”: mode choices: Disable, Normally Open&Alarm, Alarm Only, Input Alarm, Once Open
Alarm. Choose the mode according to the needs, you also can choose “Trigger fire alarm manually. Finally,
click on "Save&Upload".
2.5.15.2 Manual Alarm
Click on "Door Access" > “Alarm Setting” > “Manual Alarm”, the interface is as follows:

2.5.15.3 PIR Sensor
The "Door Access" > “Alarm Setting” > “PIR Sensor” (the default interface don’t have this function, please
refer to 2.1.1 to start the function), the interface is as follows:

“PIR Sensor”: the “Arm delay” is output delay, if the alarm signal didn’t recover within the “Arm Delay”,
after the alarm signal back to normal, the “PIR Sensor” will be reset automatically, click “Disarm” the “PIR
Sensor” will reset.
“Arm Delay”: walk way within the delay time of arm setting and disarm setting.
“Alarm delay”: trigger alarm signal delay.
“Arm PIN”: input Arm PIN on the keyboard directly to enter the protection state.
“Disarm PIN”: you must input password within the prescribed time to disarm after open the door.
“Delay Exit”: drive alarm length of time
The above settings can be reset by clicking the device list.
2.5.15.4 Smoking Sensor Alarm
Click on the menu “Door Access” > “Alarm Setting” > “Smoking Sensor Alarm” (the default interface

“Force Alarm:
Alarm-Open Once&Lock, Alarm Only, Alarm& Lock).
2.5.15.7 Overtime Alarm
Click on the menu “Door Access” > “Alarm Setting” > “Overtime Alarm”, the pop-up window as follows:

If you need to open a door by multiple cards, you can use the “Multi-Cards Mod”, please click “Help” >
“Module Import”, select “Multi-Cards” after inputting the verification password. This function is applicable to
banks and other security department. You can set up to open the door after confirming the identity of the users.
Click the menu on “Door Access” > “Door Open Details” > “Multi-Cards”, the interface is as follows:

You can set up the number of cards and the group card check mode: you can choose “Error Combination
Waiting” or “Error Combination Exit”, it also support “Anti-Passback function (details please refer to 2.5.14.2
Anti-Passback). After setting, you only can open all the doors after confirming the identity of Group 01. Note:
please use the mode carefully, it would lead to abnormal operation.
2.5.16.8 Privilege Card Mode
You only can enter the door after the privilege card if you use the mode. Click “Help” > “Module Import”,
select “Privilege Card” after inputting the verification password to start the function.

function set by accident, cause use not normal, please use the function carefully, unless it will lead to abnormal
operation.

2.6.1 Reader

Shift Schedule: it defined when can go to work in advance when put off from work, etc. It can set up

Card reading time interval: The card reading time between the previous operation and current operation.
Auto-shift: Confirm the shift by card reading time; the card reading time approach which shift, and it will
be assigned to the relative shift by the system; After select “Auto-shift”, and under attendance officer setting
page to select auto-shift mold, the system will automatic analysis the attendance data according to the card
reading record.
Grace time: This is the embodiment of the humanized management; if working time is 9:00 am, read card
at 9:02, it is belong to grace time, but if read card at 9:04, system will think you are late, Time is 4 minutes. If no
need to calculate the working hour, no need to select the” working hour reduce”
Lateness time as (no pay leave in TZ, no pay leave in a whole day, lateness time as no pay leave, not as no
pay leave,),leave before 16:00, it is as no pay leave TZ.
Over time: if read card at 8:01 ,system will not treat as overtime, if read card at 7:59,system will treat as
overtime.
If 18.59 reading card, system not treat as overtime, if read card at 19:01, system will treat as overtime 1
hour.(but cannot exceed 00:00)
If here has many times reading card record for work, the first time as check in time,but off duty, the last
time as check out time.

2.6.2.1、Click on the on the above picture to add attendance, click “Save” after setting it will work. The

It including tour route, security guard, time schedule, manual entry, download, query, report and tour map.
2.7.1 Tour Route

2.7.1.1 Add tour route
Define the card order when patrol.The line contains the position and check order when patrol.
Check point: specific position when patrol。Here can set the position order, the time interval and error time.

Click on “Select” to select the check point, click on “Save” and exit after inputting time interval and grace
time. Back to the interface continue add the tour route if there are more routes. If you need to modify or delete

Click on “Save” and “Exit”after inputting name and add users. If you need to modify or delete guard
group, then reenter the “Security Guard” interface to modify or delete guard group. The security guards
only defined in here can be took into statistics of guard tour and the monitor of map.

2.8 Lift

The lift access controller is a stand alone device which differ from door access controller, if you want to use
the lift access control function you need to connect with lift access controller.

If your device is PCP/IP connecting way, you need to reset the IP address. Double click the controller after
click the “Search”, it will pop-up a window as follows. To match the IP address or LAN parameter after double
click IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, click “save” back to install interface.

2.8.2 Time Zone


Click on the menu “Lift” > “Time Zone”, the interface is as follows:

The default data: Time zone 01, Monday to Sunday, 24 hours effectively, 02-64 time zone is invalid by
default, if you need add new time zone, please click time zone 02, as follows:

(1)You can change the Time Zone name, and each day you can set 8 different time interval from Monday to
Sunday.
(2)You also can duplicate the time zone to the next day.
For example: you have set the time interval of Monday, then click “ Copy a Day” > “Tuesday” > “Paste a
Day”, Wednesday to Sunday are the same operation. After setting, click “Save” or “Save&Upload” and exit.
If you need set several time zone, and most of them have the same time interval, you can copy the whole
time zone to another time zone. For example, the Time Zone 02 have set and saved already, then click “Copy
All” > “Time Zone 03” > “Paste All”, the door open time of Time Zone 02 have been pasted to Time Zone
03.Then click “Save&Upload”.
If you don’t need “Time Zone Setting”, then click “Default”.
After setting the Time Zone, you need to choose the user, you should click “Access Level” to select, then
you can make the “Time Zone Setting” work.
2.8.3 Access Level
Click on the menu “Lift”> “Access Level”, the interface is as follows:

You can set the access level according dept or all on “Department”.
You can select the time zone in “Time Zone”according your needs.
If you need set the valid time and times, you can set on “Expiration” and “Times”.
You can select floor to limit the user, for example, user A only can go floor 9 and floor 11, then select user
A on “User”, and select 09 and 11 on the floor list, then click “Allow&Upload”.
2.8.4 Query Cardholder
Click on the menu “Lift” > “Query Cardholder”, the interface is as follows:

You can click “By User” to check the access level , select the dept and user name, click “Transaction
Event”, the interface is as follows:

You can click “Edit” to modify the lift access level (please refer to 2.8.3 Access Level).

2.8.8 Data download

For example, user A deleted all data on software by accident, but A can extract Card ID, Password and
Time Zone from device, and save the information back to the database. And then click on "start to get the data",
"save to the database". Click “download”, then click “Save” after finish.
