Instructions
1. This paper contains 4 printed pages. Please check

2. The paper has three practical questions. Answer all questions.

3. All questions to be answered using a computer. After completing each


question print your work. Save the answers in a removable disk to be handed
with the printed copy.

4. After saving your work delete any work that you may have saved in the
computer. Failure to follow this instruction may lead to disqualification.

5. Write your name or ID number at the top of each page used as an answer
sheet and on the disk or CD.

6. At the end submit your completed all your answer-sheets and the removable
storage device to the invigilator

7. Use of computers are allowed in this paper.

1 a. Create a spreadsheet called “Orders” and enter data as follows (5 marks)

b. Select all the data and apply the following formatting

i Centre align it both vertically and horizontally (2 marks)


ii Apply Boarders (1 mark)

c. Select row 1 and make the contents bold (1 mark)

d. Apply filters to the data and perform the following (1 mark)

i Show only Pencil Items (1 mark)


ii Sort the data in ascending order of Units (1 mark)
iii Hide the column D (1 mark)
iv Create a Bar Graph using the columns for Rep and Units and position
the chart below the data (2 marks)

e. Format the data under OrderDate to appear as Dates (1 mark)

f. Create a Header that includes your name in the left section and page
number in the centre section (2 marks)

g. Rename the sheet with your Name and print the data and the chart on the
same page (2 marks)

2 a. Create a publication named “Lessons Advert” and save in your removable


storage device (1 mark)
b. Set the page size to A5 portrait (1 mark)
c. Insert an explosion 8 points shape and resize it to occupy the upper half of
the page. Set the fill colour to no fill and add the following text in it
(4 marks)

d. Change the font for the shape to Bodoni MT Condensed, size 30, colour
Orange and centre it. Set the shape’s outline to colour yellow (5 marks)
e. Set the shape’s vertical alignment to middle (2 marks)
f. Insert the following text in font Times New Roman size 28 (2 marks)
TIME : 13:30
DAY : Saturdays and Sundays
VENUE : Michiru View Girls Secondary Hall.
g. Make sure the text is arranged as shown above (1 mark)
h. Change the background of the publication to 50% Tint Accent 3
(2 marks)

i. Print the publication (2 marks)

3 a. Create a database called “Computer Maintenance” and save it in the


removable storage device (1 mark)
b. Design a table called “Actions” using the information below setting
Action_ID as the primary key and set “Software”, “Hardware” and “Non
Issue” as the possible values to choose from on Type (6 marks)
