Assessment Details
This task aims to develop skills in understanding the objectives, business contexts, supply chain maps, issues, and challenges
in supply chains and reflection on topics learned in the local contexts. During the first weeks of the semester, students develop a
basic knowledge of key logistics and supply chain management concepts and theories. Students can be exposed to industry
knowledge and understanding of how supply chains can support local business development, such as competitiveness, trade
facilitation, and E-commerce.
Each student selects a product line from a company operating within the focus theme of the industry. Each student is required to
prepare an infographic and provide a voice description to highlight the following:
The supply chain management context: the competitive environment of this product line and the industry
The supply chain objectives: this supply chain's primary missions/aims/goals.
A supply chain map: This is a diagram or illustration that highlights the supply chain's major flows (product/service,
information, financial).
Major issues or challenges: What might prevent/affect the supply chain operations from reaching the objectives/goals
Opportunities for future development: the potential for supply chain development in the selected industry
Reflections: A comparison with the guest speaker's lecture.
We can find further documentation and sources that may be used for preparing this task on Canvas. Designing an infographic is
an art where students can apply key concepts and capture relevant information to enhance a topic of discussion in a visual
approach. This assignment requires students to proactively look for information from both academic literature and professional
sources.
These are some suggestions (but not limited to) for designing infographics and how to embed voice to pdf and ppt.
Students can develop their format and template; however, it should include essential information about the RMIT brand, your
name, student ID, and possibly the selected product line logos.
Students are required to submit their submissions electronically to Canvas System. The system accepts the following format:
doc, docx ,pdf ,ppt ,pptx ,and mp4
