1. Introduction

It is possible to store the stations in an internal database of ATDI’s SW. This will allow us to execute
certain processes (like coverage simulation) in a much more optimal way than directly from the map.
The information stored in the internal database is independent from the one stored in the map or in the
network file. However, both containers can be synchronized.

2. Creation of an internal database

1) Click on Database / List / SQL and select DB stations… (also DB Microwave link… or DB subscriber…).

2) In the following window, click on New link…, then select the folder and give a name to the new database.
We recommend using a particular folder for it.
3) Once created, it will appear in the linked database list:

4) Click on Return

3. How to export elements from the map to the database

1) To export some elements from the map to the internal database, click on the menu Database -> Station
database > Export activated elements. A new window will appear with the internal database selection.
2) Double click on the database to which you want to export the elements.
3) A confirmation message will appear indicating the total number of records contained in the database.

4) If any station already exists in the database (the Callsign parameter is used for this verification, meaning
that the stations with the same call signs will be overwritten), the tool will ask for a confirmation to
overwrite the existing record.

1) Click on the menu Database -> Station database -> Station database…
2) The station database manager will appear:

3) Select the stations to be imported on the map and click on On map (in that case, the coverage attached
to each station won't be exported) or on On map+cover (in that case, the coverage attached to each
selected station will also be exported ) and in the next window click on Close.
4) A confirmation message will appear:
